how do i get the PT3 shipped?

i placed my order but im going to wait to pay on pstars when i learn how my order will be delivered

i just bought it from pt website.. got $16 discount cuz of previous pt license.. serial code was given straight after i paid (via paypal) & just registered it in the program.. took 2 min

oh i dont have a pt2 license plus i thought i'd support lp and purchase it from its store....

how do i get the discount if i have a pt2 lincense

meh I really hate the HUD. It can't be saved for 6max automatically, every time I open a new table I have to set it up myself. Too annoying.

hmm guess i'll continue using pt2 til pt3 hud is working properly

my HUD starts displying stats of players that arent there lol

its great they released a new version and all but i'm probably not going to buy it until i see a reason to

my only motivation to get it is that it has the 3bet/4bet stats but u can get by without, usually u know the players who 3 bet light w/o needing stats specifically to tell you.

and my pahud layout is too important to lose so maybe once the hud is same or better then pahud

i just remember really liking the overview of daily performance and stuff you could bring up on pt3 beta; i had a much easier time browsing through dates and hands on that one than pt2.. that really blows that the heads up display is screwed atm..

So it doesn't matter if they make money of it or not. If you already have PT2 (witch is the only way to get the discount as far as I know) and only need the upgrade go buy it direct from PT because LP can't sell that.

if you used a certain folder with the old processed hand histories with PT2 you should use it to reimport your hands, it'll be faster.

You have to donwload a vista service pack. It takes a while, but pokertracker walks you through it. Although, after I installed the service pack my comp restarted and for some reason my comp is telling me I have no audio drive now. WTF?!? But other than that, everything worked fine on Vista

Also, I had no problem saving my hud setup. I just clicked on the little tab at the top of my table and clicked on save layout.
I don't find the hud all that bad. It has some cool features. Only think I don't like about it is there doesn't seem to be an option to display your hud and set it up, so you kinda have to set it up while you're playing at a table.

if you are getting this error, here is what you can do:

1. uninstall postgresql. i didn't have an uninstaller in my postgresql directory, so i downloaded an installer for the newest version, and when you launch the installer it has a "remove" option. click that and let it uninstall.

2. re-install postgresql. should be self explanatory. this time, you'll be prompted to enter some account passwords. the FIRST prompt has your computer name (mine is TECKNOWLEDGY-PC) and the account name "postgres" and asks you for a password. THIS IS NOT THE PASSWORD YOU NEED TO REMEMBER. the SECOND prompt once again has an account name "postgres" and it explains that you should create a different password for this account. THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED TO REMEMBER FOR PT.

3. after you've finished installing and configuring postgresql (basically you just keep pressing "next" and entering passwords), launch PT3 again. now, enter the password you remembered and it should connect to the database.

also for vista users, remember to disable UAC before installing postgresql.

1. start menu, type "msconfig" in the run box. hit enter

2. when the msconfig window opens, click on "tools" tab.

3. scroll down to "disable UAC" and click Launch

4. this will require a restart

HOW do i configure PostgreSQL?

To everyone having PostgreSQL troubles, here's what I've been telling everyone (who are using XP);

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
Remove Pokertracker 3 and PostgreSQL
Download latest Installation of Pokertracker 3 (with PostgreSQL included) from www.pokertracker.com
Install PT3
- DO NOT INSTALL POSTGRESQL MANUALLY VIA THE INSTALL FILES
Run Pokertracker 3.
It should ask you if you want PT3 to automatically install/configure Postgresql
Click yes
???
Run PT3
Win!
