if you're gonna play on your laptop, be in the best mood possible. do whatever makes you overwhelmingly happy. personally, i like to do any of...

have a glass of scotch
listen to happy music
sing along to happy music (helps a lot)
just watch a tv show i like while 1 tabling, sometimes 2 tabling if opponents are random total donks

etc

think of the times when you are in the best mood, and basically just force that mood. if it doesn't work, don't play.

Comfort is huge. I noticed a huge positive impact on my game when I purchased a very comfortable chair which stopped me from getting neck pain during long sessions.

I first started off playing much worse on my laptop, but now that im on an extended vacation I've learned to play on my laptop and its been pretty profitable.

I realized that no matter how hard I tried, or wanted to, that I would just not be able to play a similar amount of tables as I can in the comfort of my home. WHere @ home I can play between 6 and 8 tables very comfortably, my max is 4 tables on the laptop. Another thing that helped is to just try and not rush it, I was really trying to speed up the action because I was playing less, but still wanted to make the same amount. But by just slowing down and playing, and not worrying about anything that happened, it just chilled me out.

One of the benefits of a laptop computer is the mobility, however, mobility may just lead you to distractions. In my room I don't have a tv, or have random people walking around and talking, so when I played in a living room, or a dining room area, the extra distractions did have an effect on me, even though they went unnoticed at first, they were detrimental because I was just not used to it. I now try to recreate my home living conditions when I play on the laptop, and I play less tables. The less tables have probably even made me better.

i seem to play much worse on my laptop too! cept all my big tourney scores have been on it so it kinda compensates

You obviously need to learn how to play on a laptop. It's a whole new game on a laptop it's where the big boys play.

i would just try recreate your desk situation with the laptop may get you into the right mindset

Ket, how do you like your aeron? I wonder if it is good for someone who likes to change sitting positions a lot, sometimes sitting on own leg etc. Looks like that's not possible, or maybe you don't feel the need for changing position because the chair is so good?
