bump for the report:
Got down to London and met my brother, sank a few ciders in the train station pub. Got the tube up to Earls Court and started to see more and more middle aged rockers.
Went for a quick quarter pounder at McD's and headed down to the venue. Walked into the reception first and my brother said he was there to pick up some tickets. We get directed into the hall to stand in a big ass queue for the booths.
My brother goes back to the reception then reappears with out tickets, fuck standing in line with the riff-raff. Opens the envelope "Have a great time - Nigel"
"whos Nigel?"
"Nigel owns the venue"
sick venue baller.
tickets were free too.
The line for the t-shirt stand was about 20x longer than the one for the bar so went and got a couple of Carlsbergs. Found out seats which were pretty much the best place you could hope for.
Trivium were on first, never really heard them before but they were good.
Drank some more beers
Maiden came on, then everything gets real hazy.
I remember them coming on and playing the first song. Then i remember being sick, then riding a cab home haha.
My brother said that when i was being sick he was worried about the people in the seats ahead, one of them turned round and saw me and went "YEAAAAAAAH"
Totally rock n roll.
Ill have to go and see them again because i can only remember about 30 seconds of Maiden playing. They were still awesome.

how come I've never heard of them?
and do they work for the devil?
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

I was a bit embarassed to ask my brother for tickets, but he said just let him know if theres anything on at Earls Court that i want to see and he can get me tickets.
Obviously its rock n roll to do it all to excess, cant fucking wait to see them again though when im more sober
Bruce tried to sing the theme tune to Sooty and get everyone singing along, but no one knew the words.
I sang happy birthday though coz it was Daves birthday.

I've seen iron maiden at reading festival. Tbh i am not a massive fan of them but i went to see them ofc, and they were really fucking good live.
Seen rhcp too but they were a bit disappointing, they jammed for half their set and played barely any songs, probably becuase it was a festival so i assume in an auditorium they will play more of their songs

God. First time I saw them was in a venue in Copenhagen called Forum, and it was the best concert of my life! Then went to Roskilde Festival(Danish festival) to see them again last summer and they were fucking disapointing. Like you said, they jammed half the concert on some fucked up pipe and they were clearly on drugs and had no idea what was going on. Still like them though.

Bump!
"Maiden Heaven"
Maiden Heaven is a tribute album to the heavy metal band Iron Maiden that was released on the 16th of July [1], as a free gift with Kerrang! Magazine Issue 1219. It is described as 'our tribute to Iron Maiden, which features exclusive covers by Metallica, Coheed & Cambria, Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head
1) Black Tide- Prowler
2) Metallica- Remember Tomorrow
3) Avenged Sevenfold- Flash Of The Blade
4) Glamour Of The Kill- 2 Minutes To Midnight
5) Coheed & Cambria- The Trooper
6) Devildriver- Wasted Years
7) Sign- Run To The Hills
8) Dream Theater- To Tame A Land
9) Madina Lake- Caught Somewhere In Time
10) Gallows- Wrathchild
11) Fightstar- Fear Of The Dark
12) Machine Head- Hallowed Be Thy Name
13) Trivium- Iron Maiden
14) Year Long Disaster- Running Free

Metallicas cover of Remember Tomorrow is awesome, Machine Heads is HBTN is also really good.
Sign - Run to the Hills is embarassing and I couldnt even listen to the whole thing.

Tbh the only real good cover on here is Gallow's Wrathchild.
Especially the covers of Metallica and Dream Theater were quite dissapointing in my eyes. Didn't expect anything from Sign, but they performed even worse then that.
As for DevilDriver/Avenged Sevenfold/Trivium; didn't even give them a chance. Not a fan of numetalish stuff.

I like graveworm but they totally screwed it in the cover imo, I think Testament made a good cover of this song, oh and also cob with aces high was awesome.
