Well if you are living under a rock and didn't know alrady, a guy named Mike Postle has been cheating through the RFID cards and apparently knows his opponents hands and he been quite blatant about it, here are some hands:

https://t.co/e2kcPdgEHo?amp=1

Theres a thread on 2+2 about it, also Joeingram posted a video and Doug Polk is uploading one soon too.

Most of the hands looked at in isolation are defensible (some arent), but when you look at them all combined and realize he basically never missteps on the river and times his weird donk bet all ins and c/f perfectly it becomes damning.

Over 52 hours, he had a winrate upwards of 900bb/100 at 1/3, and over 64 hours a winrate of 700bb+ at 2/5. Whenever we see numbers like that from someone playing 60 vpip 9 handed, we can suspect something is up.

im very sympathetic to someone playing weird with the deep reads. it's hard to tell without a baseline to compare this to, and i wanted to be on this guys side but it looks suspect

I'm 100% certain he cheated. Not 99%, not 99.9%, 100%. It's potripper level of unbelievable. The winrates, some of the details about him (possibly had access to RFID stuff, deleted linkedins regarding his own poker tour and possibly working on the production team of stones at some point), lack of sessions while a buddy of his in the booth was at WSOP, him barely playing outside this casino, and of course many hands showing him playing every single river as if he could see the cards of his opponent and wants to sometimes act like he cant.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Agree that its 100% certain he cheated but without physical proof not sure if a jury of non poker players will see it that way. Its a bit disappointing that he was outed on twitter instead of accusers taking this straight to authorities. You can't catch him in the act now. I think there's enough for people who lost money to him to get it back (either from him or the casino), but I doubt the ideal situation of him serving jail time actually happens.

is there no way to recover the deck to see if they are rfid or at least find out if he bought a deck on the internet or something, his expenses, money, ect can be looked at. (criminals are that stupid that quite often). how'd he even get an rfid deck into this game anyway? That's the most likely way he cheated right? If he played in the same casino, management have recordings of him playing there every day. idk seems easy to get this guy convicted of something if they put in the work for it.

Yeah also statistics and basic knowledge of poker ability is the only thing you need for absolute rock solid proof imo.

The cards have RFID for the stream, holecards cameras aren't used anymore the chips are more practical, all you have to do is intercept the signal and then decide how do you want to get the information, via earpiece, cellphone etc, there seems to be something bulky inside his hat

this guy looking to get staked by any chance?

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen

This hand here is the sickest of all the sick hands he played and I think is pretty definitive proof that he is cheating, there is no way he could make this play otherwise...
Which are your favorite hands that indicate something is up?

Happy demeanor

A2o on XYY rainbow multiway after calling blind
small blind limps in and checks behind him, then bets turn on 4d-Qh-Qs-5h (standard move way to play a flopped Q no?)
Mike raises him
He 3-bet raises Mike after a minute of thinking then Mike reraises...

lol that 54o hahahaha
yeah I mean
this is ridiculously faceup cheating

Sadly I don't think much can happen without actual evidence
He won't play poker again with people that know him
hard to make him return money much less actually sue him unless someone comes forward

93% Sure!

um, there is actual evidence lol. Even you said it yourself, the 54o hand is faceup cheating, that's evidence. Of course a jury won't understand that this is evidence because it's statistically unlikely that you get 12 people that understand statistics and basic poker. The problem is getting evidence that the jury will understand.

this is the only hard evidence -- the stream changing in real time indicates someone changed it without talking to Postle and did so to make it look less suspicious that he would less than minraise all in with 86o.

Ive been watching the doug/joey discussion but thats about it. While they cite crazy high winrates, I'm assuming they are using the actual blinds and not "effective" blinds, right? Like if the game is 5/5/10 but people are opening for $100 then it's really more like 25/50. Does this help account for his 60BB/hr winrate? Like can we half that or even quarter it? I used to run about 8BB/hr playing live. Buddy of mine ran 15BB/hr for a year with graphs to back it up ($110k at 2/5)

bye now

Postle was at about 950BB/100...
