THis is one helluva year for the NBA! Lots of backstories and much better talent distribution and team balance. I'm picking Raptors to take it all lol. Kahwi so far still a beast. |

I wanted to watch this NBA season, but I started a new job and don't have enough time now. I haven't even watched any NFL games in 3 weeks.
I think I can only fit MMA events in my schedule right now. |

Raptors are sort of the dark horse this year. They look like the Spurs in their peak form of Duncan/Manu/Parker era and watching them play is just beautiful. I'm a huge Kahwi fan only because he doesn't really pad his stats but the dude can really destroy teams from anywhere (his 3pt shooting even improved a lot). He also brings the clutch gene and championship experience that Toronto really needs, plus Green is such a beast on defense as well. They had a heartless team with great scorer in Derozan, this upgrade is just insane. |

I don't know if I'd call them a 'dark horse', coming into the season they were generally considered to have as a good of a chance as any non-GSW team. I guess consensus had Boston ahead of them in the East but it was like a 1a/1b thing. TOR def been great so far though. I still think the best version of Boston is the second best team in the league and has the best chance of upsetting GSW, but it's an open question of whether that best version can come to fruition. Brad Stevens is the GOAT coach from strategy/tactics POV and has been amazing at getting average role players to buy in and overachieve, he's kind of in a different situation now though having to manage multiple star egos.

Toronto still dropping plates on the road and at home. Sucks Kahwi still not in final form and looking a little fragile out there. Siakam and OG, plus the two bigs Jonas and Ibaka are playing out of their minds. Boston's problem is really having too many gifts that don't complement one another, They'll need Kyrie more than Hayward but there's already some dissatisfaction talk about minutes. I hope the Raptors get to play Bucks, Denver and GSW to get really pushed. Nurse fucking with the rotations has really shown how his little experiments are paying off, Serge and JV have never played this well in their entire careers.

I was under the impression that there were tons of Canadian Lpers. This Raptor team now could potentially get to the finals and actually win as long as Kahwi is healthy. Historical season for you guys and I'm a huge fan (since Kahwi moved). I hope he stays and currently is undefeated when Kahwi is playing 12-1 best record so far and they've got a decent home schedule coming. Pelicans tomorrow and expect fireworks, this team is just so fun to watch. Obviously sports media is covering everything about Lebron only but they will take notice soon. |

Most ppl dont care about basketball.
I ordered a couple of books on analytics -- basketball on paper by dean oliver and the 2 basketball analytics series by thomas shea.
im personally still waiting to see what happens when cousins returns to gsw. they have a chance to just be straight unstoppable imo.
i think last year's houston team > any #2 this year whether thats denver, milwuakee, toronto, etc. |

Raptors played real bad closing out games running hot mostly the past 10 games. It's starting to catch up with them and aside from Serge, Kahwi, Siakam and Green this team is heartless trash |

Raptors vs Spurs today
Kawhi goes home to boos later on and Derozan gets to stick it up to Masai who traded him = Intense crazy game
Ibaka vs Aldridge = bitter rivals
Crowds will boo, Kawhi coming off a career best the last game 45 point dominance
Golden State vs Houston
Western playoff rivals square off. Harden playing insane 10 game 40pt levels and GSW just getting their marbles back together again |
