- A lightweight bout between former WSOF Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje and Al Iaquinta was expected to serve as the event headliner. However on June 28, it was announced that Iaquinta withdrew from the bout and was replaced by James Vick that same day.
- Alexa Grasso was expected to face former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion Angela Hill at the event, but pulled out on July 19 due to a knee injury. She was replaced by Cortney Casey that same day.
- Antonio Braga Neto was expected to face The Ultimate Fighter: Team Joanna vs. Team Claudia light heavyweight winner Andrew Sanchez at the event. However, Neto was removed from the bout on August 2 for undisclosed personal issues and was replaced by Markus Perez that same day.

I think Vicks there for a lot of leg kicks. Leading to a standard Gaethje bum rush tko around the third

Not confident in Johnson vs Fili from a matchup perspective but just stock in the theory that it takes the second time to properly acclimate to a new weight class. MJs hands are still fast and he had a lot of pop in his fists at 155. Filis chin isn't the greatest either

- Sad for Ellenberger but retirement was the right choice, I was thinking he may go to Bellator

- Hill vs Calderwood was really boring as expected
