The times I listed are correct. This fight card is in England, which means it starts earlier than usual.

Edit: I just changed the date in the original post from Saturday to Sunday. This UFC card is on Sunday in both USA and England.

They are both counterstrikers with sick reach, but Thompson has the better kicks and distance control I think he takes this one.


Unfortunately he fought like an absolute idiot against Woodley twice and I've lost confidence in his game plans

Not sure where he fought like an idiot in the first fight. He was winning most of the exchanges until getting absolutely rocked by a counter shot which comes at an incredible speed when Woodley decides to burst

2nd fight his cautioness stemmed from knowing if he got caught like that again, same thing happens where he'd automatically lose a round and get further damaged on the floor or finished. Twood barely came out of his shell just looking for the one hard counter again. Hard to be so offensive vs that. And I thought Thompson still should've got the decision

Going to be on Thompson here too even though I think the hype is deserved for Till. Just maybe a little too early for a top 3 Welter who he's going to have to distance strike with for long stretches which obviously plays into Thompson's strength. Prob cautious early but should be a good fight closer to the middle

Rest of the card is complete shit. Might go a little on Kelly as a pretty big dog

Watch Woodley vs McDonald, its a blueprint how to beat Woodley and its an easy one that Wondeboy should have followed and cruised to an easy win.


Woodley backs up to the cage eating damage looking to explode either with a takedown or running with a hard right hook, all that Rory did was keep him there pot shotting him with jabs and straight rights and doing a front kick to the ribs, Woodley collapsed.

Wonderboy skillset is perfect to repeat that plan but he didn't, he kept Woodly there just throwing 1 striker per minute on both rounds

Great win for Gillian Robertson. She showed some nice grappling and actually looked like a true brown belt, unlike other females who have brown/black belts in the UFC.

R1: Thompson (slow round by both; lots of feints; I like the strikes Wonderboy landed out of the two guys)
R2: Till (Wonderboy didn't throw much at all this round)
R3: Thompson (the closest round of the fight thus far; it can go either way)
R4: Till (Thompson didn't throw much this round, basically giving the fight away to the hometown fighter)
R5: Till (he got the KD, but would've won this round regardless)

Darren Till 3-2 or 4-1, imo. R3 decides how much Till won by.

Wonderboy suffers the "Anderson Silva syndrome", he becomes utter garbage against people who aren't being aggresive, you need a strike to force your opponent to come in, not everybody is going to be an idiot and bullrush you, i dont know why wonderboy just doesnt sidekick non-stop on the ribs to force a reaction.

Interesting. i myself didn't pay enough attention, but in my mind Till won r2/r5 clearly, and the rest was too close to judge, but since Till was agressor, he should win at least one of the 3. I had agreed with judges. I was surprised by the media score card.

If I remember correctly aggression and moving forward is considered in the scoring, because I agree with Floofy I'm very surprised of 49-46 scores.

I"m glad it was scored that way, its one thing to be a counterpuncher, and its another to just kill all action and try to edge every round by 1 meaningless punch

At best, Wonderboy edged the rounds by 1 pillow punch as you described. But looking at the stats from UFC web site, that's barely the case. Till outsriked WB 3 rounds out of 5.
Anyways, this a rare case where us guys on LP agree with the judges and disagree with media scores. Usually the opposite happens.

Darren Till only received 59 points on DraftKings for his 5-round fight. If he didn't get the late KD in Round 5, he would've had 49 points... Pretty sad for a 5-round fight with two strikers.

Both Till and Thompson threw was less strikes than they usually throw.
