Any specific reason for Marquadt > Ferreira? I kind of like it too but only because Ferreira has pretty poor striking defense oftentimes and the one thing Marquadt can do still is punch hard. Tough to back Marquadt against anyone with skill these days though

Feels like some sort of crime is being committed in allowing Diego Sanchez to be fighting still

Cezar's distance striking had improved, so he isn't as terrible as he once was. He is either all the way out (kicks and a few overhand punches), or all the way in (clinch into take down attempts).

Cezar's last few wins have came against guys who he had the wrestling, BJJ, and strength advantage against. He doesn't have any of that against Nate. It's really noticeable if you compare styles of his last few opponents to Nate's.

Nate has the punching power, BJJ, and can stop Cezar's strength-only TD attempts. Even if Cezar got on top, he has shown he isn't a killer when he's in your guard (like against a pure striker in Oluwale Bamgbose, who was also undersized by a lot).

As for Nate's last two losses, they were against two counter strikers who have 1-punch KO power (Vitor and Sam Alvey), and he was cautious of getting hit (he lost to both guys by decision). Against Cezar, he doesn't have to worry about a 1-punch KO because Cezar lacks 1-punch KO power, speed, and he only throws overhand/looping punches that you can see coming.

I see this being an ugly fight where both guys stay on the outside for the most part. I think Nate's shorter and harder hook-punch will connect with Cezar's chin at some point and get the TKO, or this will go to an ugly decision.

I wouldn't bet on either guy, but I will have Nate in some DraftKings teams.

Nate is +240, might be worth a bet.

Suggestion for Ricain: I would be interested to know your opinion on who's worth a bet. Not just who's a favorite to win.

My final picks:

• Poirier > Pettis
• Brown > Sanchez
• Albini > Arlovski
• Marquardt > Ferreira
• Assuncao > Lopez
• Guida > Lauzon
• Dodson > Moraes
• Suarez > Pereira
• Northcutt > Quinones
• Hill > Ansaroff
• Strickland > McGee
• Fortuna > Collier
• Roberson > Stewart

I have to do a lot of studying today, so I won't be watching the fights live until the main card starts. I'll probably catch the last 3 fights on the main card.

Starting next weekend, I will be able to get back to my old schedule of watching all the fights live.

Going to bet on Brown. Laying -350 on someone so worn down like Matt Brown seems really dumb. Unless it's vs Diego Sanchez

I'm so sick of seeing Cezar Ferreira win fights against these terrible opponents.

If he wasn't Vitor's friend, he would've been cut long ago.

The showed the press room when Matt Brown finished Diego Sanchez, we could only hear the audio.

Hopefully they show the replay.

Hopefully Pettis retires. He hasn't looked good for a long time.
