I think Pettis is clearly not looking as good as he used to, BUT i disagree with PuertoRicain. I think Pettis did a really entertaining fight, no reason for him to retire.

Pettis looked alright, but he clearly isn't championship material anymore.

While he looks good for portions of fights, he has gotten hurt real bad in his last 2 losses, which were both finishes. In-between those losses, he won decisions over Jim Miller and Charles Oliveira. Miller has been washed-up for a long time, and Oliveira was on his way to winning a decision before Pettis subbed him in Round 3.

i 100% agree with you he isn't championship material anymore. I see him as an entertaining gate keeper now.

Sadly I don't even see him as a gatekeeper anymore. Too bad, Pettis was probably my most favorite fighter.

I could see Pettis as a gate keeper/star maker. He is an entertaining striker and must be the most submission driven guy on the ground. Nobody is as active for submission of his back.

I disagree he actually looked pretty good vs Poirier,
I think both showed great performance

Pettis looked pretty good but when he beat lauzon, cerrone, Bendo and Melendez he looked like the next superstar. Now he just looks like a good top 10, thats sad because his style is(was) awesome.
