- A heavyweight bout between Justin Ledet and Dmitriy Sosnovskiy was expected to take place at UFC Fight Night: Bermudez vs. Korean Zombie. In turn, the UFC confirmed that Ledet was suspended for four months after testing positive for a banned substance. The fight was expected to take place at this event. Subsequently, Sosnovskiy was removed from the card on September 10 and replaced by promotional newcomer Zu Anyanwu.
- An August 19 event (originally expected to be UFC 215) had two announced bouts, including a welterweight bout between Mike Perry and former UFC Welterweight Championship challenger Thiago Alves, as well as a middleweight bout between former Bellator Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard and Anthony Smith. After the event was canceled, both fights are now expected to take place at this event. In turn, Alves pulled out of the fight on September 13. He was replaced by promotional newcomer Alex Reyes on September 13.

First impression of the match-ups:
• Branch > Rockhold
• Perry > Reyes
• Smith > Lombard
• Gillespie > Gonzalez
• Usman > Moraes
• Ledet > Anyanwu
• Martin > Mercier
• Spitz > Hamilton
• Jotko > Hall
• Sanders > Arantes
• Burns > Saggo
Could you elaborate on Branch beating Rockhold? I don't see any way that could happen, Rockhold won't make the same mistake again. I think 2nd round TKO.

While Rockhold is the better MMA grappler, Branch is not easy to take down and is a black belt in BJJ.
Rockhold has better kicks, but Branch has the better boxing.
Branch is very experienced and has been more active, while Rockhold got knocked out in his last fight and hasn't fought in over a year.
I think Branch will touch that chin and get the upset TKO. Other people think Rockhold's kicks will be the deciding factor.
Call me crazy but im more excited about this event than the UFC 215 one.
I'm interested in RockHold's return, Lombard's MW journey, Usman who's a super legit prospect (too bad his opponement is bleh)
james9994: make note dont play against floofy, ;(

I also feel like the odds on Rockhold are too high. Maybe if we knew for sure Luke was at peak. Probably still won't bet Branch though
Only bet on card is on Anthony Smith. If Hector wins, I'll be convinced he's on the sauce again even if the tests say he's clean

Saggo vs. Burns is pretty interesting thus far. Great fight to open this card.
