I went to AC over the weekend and played some 2/5 NL. I'm not very experienced with live cash games, and felt like people do not respect the standard 4xbb preflop raise at all. I'd raise in late position and usually get 2+ callers into the flop. People also don't respect any c-betting and call with a lot of random hands. How do I capitalize on this? I feel like I bleed a lot of chips making standard bets/raises and usually get outdrawn due to so many people staying in the pot. Maybe I should be raising a lot more than the standard 4xbb? |

If people keep calling then raise bigger with good hands. If people keep calling cbets then check back more with your middle value hands and bet bigger with strong value hands.
Personally live i just bet strong value and clear semi bluffs like flush and straight draws, surrender hands with no chance of improving, and just try to see showdown with mid pairs.
Biggest flaws i see in most live players is they play super face up, like donk leads on turns and rivers when they complete their shit. Average joe players also have garbage table demenor its not that hard to tell if they like their hand or not. Also notice that when they do get great hands they extract shit value from it and cant make correct folds a lot of times. I think if you are patient and disciplined youll already have an edge over most people. I guess if you are playing 2/5 sometimes youll catch a decent player but from my experience the players are just as bad as 1/2 but more aggressively bad instead of passively bad. |

4x is quite normal for live poker. Spitfiree doesn't know what he's talking about. |

At 2/5 and 5/10 you can open with 4x + 1 per limper if there aren't a lot of people three betting you to death. If they're just calling, then I go with 4x + 1, if I got a strong hand you can even do 5x + 1 |

i went 100x with AA. Byrnesam went with me and he told the whole table they were all nits (we were very drunk), and so we had a straddle to $20, double straddle to $40, and triple straddle to $60, and like 2 people cold called the triple straddle's, so the pot is already a buyin without any preflop raise. i picked up AA and jammed it in. |

I very rarely play live but even I I've been in 5/10 games where 7x is the standard unless you want the whole table to call |

at 1/2, 4-7x is very standard, at 2/5, 3-5x is standard, you see mostly 4-5x opens, 5/10 you will face more normal 3 - 3.5 - 4x opens and smaller iso's |

Multiway pots u gotta check way more often. Dont auto cbet into 2ppl +, and consider checking strong top pairs and even overpairs especially OOP. Once it checks through on the flop you will have easier value bets on turn and river.
Example, u open QQ on EP, 2 guys IP and BB call
Flop 578r
check it and see what happens, if someone makes weak bet and get calls u can always c/r anyway
Flop AT6fd, check everything except sets+. Check AK alot unless ur oponents are really fishy and will call u down with A5 always... Thing is once it checks through on the flop u will have easy 2 streets of value with AJ+

^ I like this a lot, gonna try this next time. It's hard to know when you're being trapped, they sucked out, or you're value betting in live games if you cbet good hands on the flop. But even fish will try to make something happen on the turn if it gets checked through. |

As for me – gambling is my life, especially poker. I like to try different casino games. Recently I started to play in and restrain the risk of getting down. Although I like live cash games, I’m always aware that I’m very hazardous person, so online poker became my “remedy” from wasting my fortune. And right now I even won about $100 and I will continue to play in order to cash out some more money.
