Only 7 episodes this season, but all of the episodes will be longer.

I'm not sure what to expect, but I know it'll be good.

Most of the season is spoilered on reddit already. If what is expected to happen happens, this season is gonna be sick.

Idk but the same person posting season 7 predictions had about 99% accuracy on the outcome of season 6 and it sounds reasonable.

Doubt Littlefinger or Olenna will die till the end of the series. I feel like Littlefinger will somehow get on top in the end and either Daenerys or Jon Snow will die till the end of the series for sure, one will die the other will live although its probably be gonna happen in S8

A good ending for Littlefinger would be for him to talk shit and be at a high point in the story, and then have one of the dragons fly up behind him and go high up in the air so it scares the shit out of Littlefinger, then the dragon blows fire at him and roasts him, followed by swooping down and eating him.

George RR Martin seems to really love Gone with the Wind and I'm pretty sure some of the characters are adaptations of the book. Littlefinger is probably an exposed Rhett Butler. Also Littlefinger isnt the type of character who would stand on a high point and abuse people for no reason, everything he does is highly calculated and serves a particular purpose, that is the only reason he has managed to stay alive in the story. He s kinda of the lost guy that had to serve the interests of people he despised and doesn't really know where he belongs.

Looking good, but I'm kinda afraid they are bringing too many storylines at same time... season is short, so they might just cut them and people will feel not satisfied.

If I remember correctly George mentioned that it will be a bitter-sweet ending but who knows because if its true its kind of a big spoiler.

I'm as certain as I could be that at least one of the two - Daenerys & Jon will die, don't think it would even be possible to have the kingdoms united under a single banner anymore unless Danerys runs over the whole south super quickly, then speaks to Jon Snow and they somehow manage to realize they are both Targaryen.

Jon isnt looking for the Iron Throne, he wants to stop the whitewalkers, I dont see why she cant just rule the south and Jon the north, but thats just one of the many possibilities, the whitewalkers could trample the north and march south to kingslanding

And thats why this show is so much better than LoTR, it isnt about chlidish good vs evil, its about real human conflict with all its flaws and contradictions

They actually showed damn near everybody in the first episode and made progress on all fronts. What more do you want?

Considering this season is super short I imagine things will move along quickly.

Sheerans cameo was shitty imo but not important

yeah agreed. I don't want to be like, taken out of the magical mystical awesome and somehow realistic fantasy universe they've created through them creating some special part for one of the world's biggest musicians that clashes with that universe. luckily 1) sheeran was just a foot soldier, and the foot soldier's perspective has actually been missing for most of the show, 2) he has a ridiculously great voice and the song they sung wasn't really distracting and 3) it was a short scene so it didn't matter. The only problem I had with it was the 'whats that song? it's a new one'- because that pretty specifically clashes with the GoT universe. But again, that by itself is unimportant because the part of the scene that annoyed me lasted for literally 5 seconds.

I also thought that Frank Hvam's* cameo in s06e10 was awesome and hilarious, so I don't mind the concept of cameo appearances, but I kinda got the feeling that 'okay, now that we know we're in the final 2 seasons, we should try to include as many friends and famous people as possible before it's too late'. And if every episode started having more cameo appearances, that'd get old very quickly.

*I also want to take the opportunity to recommend the show 'Klovn' to a greater audience. Even though it's in danish and some of the humor would be lost on the rest of you guys, I also think many of you would greatly appreciate it. To me, it's one of the most hilarious shows ever shown on tv.

dam this show has gone downhill since seasons 1-4. Happy to see the sand sneks get fucked up tho

I enjoyed Episode 2, but was hoping for a little more action.

Also, I thought the episodes were gonna be longer this season, around 20 minutes or so extra. However, Episode 1 was 61 minutes total when you include all the recap and 2 minutes of intro music and 1.5 minute of ending credits and preview for next week; Episode 2 was shorter.

I was mostly dissapointed by the far too short ship battle between the two Greyjoys Fleets.
I mean damn that was such an opportunity for epicness

1.) The two greatest Fleets in Westeros clash in an epic sea battle.
2.) Its the first important battle of the Great War between 2 of the 3 powerhouses in Westeros
3.) lots of important characters involved

There was such a great opportunity to get inside into the planing of the Ambush
Naval warfare tactics
Back and Forth battles

But instead the Euron Fleet comes out of nowehere
5 Minute 1vs1 Battle sceens
End.


I guess it was far more important to waste 5 Minutes on some love story of Greyworm that i dindt pay much attention since it annoyed me too much

Well i have to admit my expectations where sky high.
For Season 7 i basically
expected the Great War between the superpowers of westeros breake lose in the most epic ways possible.

Total War would be a season name perfetcly fitting for what i wanted Season 7 to be.

I expected hughe and long battles with lots of strategy and tactics for most of the season
The storylines of the main characters will after a long journey now all come together and merge in the most epic war ever
The emphasis will shift from individual characters towards the great picture as a whole


But now after 2 episodes i think its just not gonna happen the way i imagined it.
There will be some battles ,
there will be some wars to some extend ...
but mainly they will continue the showing of the stories of the main characters.

Its not about Westeros and the Great Wars
Its a bout the feelings , emotions and individual stories of : Jon Snow , Danny, Cersei and Arya Stark
There will not be change to that


I just realize how fucking insane Breaking Bad was concerning that matter.
Breaking bad startet small and steadly increased the picture as a whole.
It got bigger and bigger and more tense and more dramatic every Season.

And it errupted in an epic ending

Game of Thrones is a good show and epic and all... but from a progressing Storyline point of view its just not as well written as Breaking Bad

Hard to compare both. GoT has 4-5 different cores of group of characters and like 20-30 important characters. Very hard to control the series once it became so huge. Still I find the show very enjoyable and try to have my expectations not so high because the story could be written in several different ways. It's very hard that the writers will do it in the most optimal way. Also if they did focus more on huge battles (which would be awesome I agree with you), they would definitely lack depth in the individual character areas and some would complain about that as well. I just think the world became way too big for both TV and Books.

hell I think they're going to fuck this up for me, wars will be these short ass affairs (like that war in ep 2)and girl power a.k.a "women are great leaders too" routine will be rubbed in our faces for 5 episodes.

yeah, the world was ruled by rich white old men in medieval times, and still largely true today but with exceptions lol. It is kinda strange to put so many women in charge, but then there were queens/female leaders like elizabeth or mary, joan of arc so i guess this show isn't deviating much from history to have female rulers battling it out. ...i Havnt studied medieval history. I guess this show isn't meant to be historical, completely.

I think we can blame Hollywood for being tired of action/fighting scenes. Too many shitty fighting movies with perfect, accurate and loooong action scenes (sometimes the entire movie) but with a uninteresting storyline.

the battle in the water in the last episode was one of the poorest scenes ever in the series ... i dont care about the battles either, but if you are gonna do something do it right

i thought it was short and sweet and showed the point that Euron is the most powerful at sea. He just squashed them in few minutes

Episode 3 was good, but none of the first 3 episodes have been much longer than usual. Only about 8 minutes at most has been added to each episode thus far.

Ya dumb cunts, this was a great episode on all fronts. The last scene especially, when Lady Tyrell spilled the beans on how she poisoned Joffrey you expected Jaime to just stab her in the chest with the sword out of rage, even after he insisted on a painless death for her. But his restraint was awesome and didn't fall into cheap dramatic tropes that other shows would have done.

I was a bit confused while watching that scene...

What was Melisandre implying about Varys? Also Varys seemed to think if Melisandre ever went back to King's Landing, she would be killed. I assumed this is just because of the things she's done in the past (burning people as sacrifices to the Lord of Light, ect.)

I was thinking more that varys is possibly something like her, a being that has been around for 100s of years

The common undead controlled by white walkers are easily killed by fire.
Not so sure about the White Walkers.

There were two scenes so far that indicated White Walkers have no fear of fire.

1.)When Jon Snow fought that White Whalker at Hardome it was in a burning house.
2.) When the Night King enterd the cave to get bran... he simply walked through fire like it was nothing while his undead companions could not go through




Dragon Fire is not normal fire though

Seeing if they added 1 minute or if your calcualtion was just a rough estimation

The 360/480p webrip Version from 2 days ago had only 46 Minutes of real playtime ! 48.50 Minutes - 2.50minutes blackscreen + Intro at start
If i add your 2 Minutes summary(which was cut out in the pre leaked version) Episode was 51Minutes overall.....

Ya dumb cunts, I swear all you dumb cunts is want more fire-breathing dragons. So much shit happened in this episode that it doesn't need fucking action to make it great. We finally fucking see Gendry; we see Littlefinger do his sneaky ass shit and set Arya up against Sansa even more; we see and hearred-headed bearded dude say some funny ass shit; we see Jon go beyond the wall to capture a zombie.

If this season was ten episodes long then it wouldn't be expedited like it is now. Everybody is essentially fast-travelling to save points and moving the story along at a really fast pace and it isn't boring at all.

definitely not good quality, unless you consider a YIFY 1080p rip good quality. It's quite average, it feels like you're watching someone filming the screen, it's quite pixelated with terrible black depth. Watchable for a leak though. I'm used to the ~4-5 gigs Amazon rips.

thats why i didnt write dvd/brrip quality, good is just decent watchable copy (last leak was pretty shit in comparison)

But fortunately its done with a pretty decent/good camera and in a very professional way.

definitely better than the Episode4 Leak which was 360p scaled to 480p with pixels all over place.

I watched the 2GB version from IPTorrents and I don't know what the fuck this guy is smoking but it's not 10/10 quality. I could hardly tell what the fuck was going on during that grizzly bear attack thing in the snowstorm. I didn't even know who got attacked. Also watched from a couple meters away on a 46" TV, so best possible circumstances according to you. The difference in quality between this and a proper 3-4GB rip is huge.

Episode 6 was good, but not amazing.

I wonder what they'll do for the season finale. It seems like they'll save a lot more stuff for Season 8 than I originally expected them to.

I've liked this season but they went too far this episode. Still enjoyed the action, loved the avengers-banter (every scene with either thormund or the hound is great), but the group would have to have been waiting for at the very least 4-5 days before daenerys came, without really having food or water, and then they still fight like gods.. benjen coming out of nowhere just smacking down wights for fun until he gets to jon, then dies against the second one after he's done saving him.. sansa-arya scenes bad as well.

was honestly the first episode of the entire show where I was thinking 'even inside this fantasy universe with flying dragons, undead kings and people being resurrected, this makes no sense and isn't possible'. And it all started because a bunch of guys wanted to embark on the most stupid and risky mission ever undertaken. I kinda felt like this wasn't Martin's work anymore - one of the great things about game of thrones earlier is that characters who did stupid shit generally ended up dead. Now cept thoros they all got saved in an impossible manner. I still enjoyed it, but this was close to jumping the shark for me.

I mean it's even stuff like, the night king had like 5 different spears, you could see that at first. Why does he only throw two of them during a 10 minute battle?

I feel like allthough overall season 7 is good that they have a major problem of too many things having to happen till the great Finale

So far they tried to solve the overwhelming amount of content in 2 ways.

1.) Traveling times make no sense anymore
During the first seasons characters had realisticly slow travel times and needed months/several Episodes to travel distances.
In Season 7 it seems everyone can reach any point in Westeros within a few hours...


In the final episode as shown in the trailer all houses will have a meeting to discuss the future of Westeros
For everyone to get there it would take months !
However Night Kings Army is accoring to the travel times in Season 7 only about 3-4 hours footmarch away from the wall.

2.) Ignoring/shortening character stories that were build up in previous Seasons
f.e Bran was build up slowly and detailed during the previous seasons .it was made clear that he has the most important role out of all people of Westeros in defeating the Night King..Now he is the 3eyed Raven and has almost no importance in Season 7


Overall its still a very enjoyable show

More like 2 weeks. The bastard had to get to the wall first, then the wall would have to send a raven, then the raven would have to go to Dragonstone which is closer to Dorne than to Winterfell. Then Daenerys would have to fly there which would still take a couple of days.

We'd have to compromise and let a lot of shit slide until the end of the series, as they will be rushing quite a lot. Considering there d be a war with the whitewalkers and with Cersei, while Arya, Bran and Samwell will have "sideline" stories I simply don't see a well-executed solution in 7 episodes.

I heard some guy on reddit made a calculation saying that it's possible for a raven to travel from the wall to dragonstone in 2 days, if one is generous. Assuming they weren't actually that far from the wall yet and gendry only had to run for like 4-5 hours and daenerys responded super fast and dragons travel faster than ravens, 4-5 days becomes a possibility. But even that is far too long, and it seemed pretty clear that they only actually spent 1 night on the tiny island. This shit is poor writing, and it sucks.

I still enjoy it because the characters are great and the action scenes are really well made and some of the dialogue is still awesome, but this was basically the most flawed episode of the entire series, to me. There were more boring and uninteresting episodes in the past, but at least they made sense.

I guess they are skipping parts of the comming book in some of these scenes
