I watched the 2GB version from IPTorrents and I don't know what the fuck this guy is smoking but it's not 10/10 quality. I could hardly tell what the fuck was going on during that grizzly bear attack thing in the snowstorm. I didn't even know who got attacked. Also watched from a couple meters away on a 46" TV, so best possible circumstances according to you. The difference in quality between this and a proper 3-4GB rip is huge.

Episode 6 was good, but not amazing.

I wonder what they'll do for the season finale. It seems like they'll save a lot more stuff for Season 8 than I originally expected them to.

I've liked this season but they went too far this episode. Still enjoyed the action, loved the avengers-banter (every scene with either thormund or the hound is great), but the group would have to have been waiting for at the very least 4-5 days before daenerys came, without really having food or water, and then they still fight like gods.. benjen coming out of nowhere just smacking down wights for fun until he gets to jon, then dies against the second one after he's done saving him.. sansa-arya scenes bad as well.

was honestly the first episode of the entire show where I was thinking 'even inside this fantasy universe with flying dragons, undead kings and people being resurrected, this makes no sense and isn't possible'. And it all started because a bunch of guys wanted to embark on the most stupid and risky mission ever undertaken. I kinda felt like this wasn't Martin's work anymore - one of the great things about game of thrones earlier is that characters who did stupid shit generally ended up dead. Now cept thoros they all got saved in an impossible manner. I still enjoyed it, but this was close to jumping the shark for me.

I mean it's even stuff like, the night king had like 5 different spears, you could see that at first. Why does he only throw two of them during a 10 minute battle?

I feel like allthough overall season 7 is good that they have a major problem of too many things having to happen till the great Finale

So far they tried to solve the overwhelming amount of content in 2 ways.

1.) Traveling times make no sense anymore
During the first seasons characters had realisticly slow travel times and needed months/several Episodes to travel distances.
In Season 7 it seems everyone can reach any point in Westeros within a few hours...


In the final episode as shown in the trailer all houses will have a meeting to discuss the future of Westeros
For everyone to get there it would take months !
However Night Kings Army is accoring to the travel times in Season 7 only about 3-4 hours footmarch away from the wall.

2.) Ignoring/shortening character stories that were build up in previous Seasons
f.e Bran was build up slowly and detailed during the previous seasons .it was made clear that he has the most important role out of all people of Westeros in defeating the Night King..Now he is the 3eyed Raven and has almost no importance in Season 7


Overall its still a very enjoyable show

More like 2 weeks. The bastard had to get to the wall first, then the wall would have to send a raven, then the raven would have to go to Dragonstone which is closer to Dorne than to Winterfell. Then Daenerys would have to fly there which would still take a couple of days.

We'd have to compromise and let a lot of shit slide until the end of the series, as they will be rushing quite a lot. Considering there d be a war with the whitewalkers and with Cersei, while Arya, Bran and Samwell will have "sideline" stories I simply don't see a well-executed solution in 7 episodes.

I heard some guy on reddit made a calculation saying that it's possible for a raven to travel from the wall to dragonstone in 2 days, if one is generous. Assuming they weren't actually that far from the wall yet and gendry only had to run for like 4-5 hours and daenerys responded super fast and dragons travel faster than ravens, 4-5 days becomes a possibility. But even that is far too long, and it seemed pretty clear that they only actually spent 1 night on the tiny island. This shit is poor writing, and it sucks.

I still enjoy it because the characters are great and the action scenes are really well made and some of the dialogue is still awesome, but this was basically the most flawed episode of the entire series, to me. There were more boring and uninteresting episodes in the past, but at least they made sense.

I guess they are skipping parts of the comming book in some of these scenes

this is just pure bullshit anymore to me. The downswing has began seasons ago but this is rock bottom. I cringe at every dialogue and I question every move and every scene they do as it makes absolutetly no fucking sense.

just compare the 1st season's quality to this. Damn shame

more CGI each season, less writing each season

agree, seems like it's been getting worse and worse since start of season 5 at least.

To be fair, the CGI was awesomely made, and it wasn't all CGI. They were in Iceland and they created the whole frozen lake/snowy mountains scenery. It was hugely labor intensive to do. It's not like they're all doing this stuff in a green room dressed like cavemen. The writing has gone south tremendously, definitely. I hear it's because the writers are focusing on their new show, "Confederate". Oh well, at least there's Twin Peaks.
