THey've turned the NBA into a gay 3ball affair it doesn't feel as exciting as watching Spurs,MJ's Chicago Bulls and Kobe/Magics Lakers. So many rebounds and points per game just taking bad shots for days, no wonder triple doubles are no big deal anymore

I love me some warriors. But i agree, the Jordan era was the best basketball We will ever see.

Sad to say this Finals is really not even thread worthy. I expected the series to be more competitive than what it has been. The Cav's ongoing defensive issues have continued to show throughout this series and the fact they continue to play an uptempo, fast paced style offensively will be the death of them.

The blueprint they used last year to overcome the Warriors was to slow the pace way down and just go to Lebron iso over and over again. They seem reluctant to do it so far this series but I think it's the only strategic change that could actually give them a chance to win in Cleveland. The series still ends in 5 imo with a decent chance it just ends up being a sweep.

As far as best teams ever is concerned, it will always be hard to compare teams from different eras against each other but the best Jordan Bulls team would get beat by present day Warriors in a 7 game series and I don't think it's really close. It has to do with the makeup of the rest of the Bulls team (not talking about Jordan/Pippen). There would be certain players that would be totally unplayable because of either A) their lack of ability to defend or B) their lack of ability to stretch the floor on the offensive end.

Players like Dennis Rodman and Luc Longley would be without a doubt be unplayable in a series vs this current Warriors team. I haven't even looked at the rest of the role players of the best Bulls team but there are for sure many others the Warriors would be able to either not worry about guarding on defense or would struggle guarding certain players that the Warriors would have on the floor.

I personally thought last years Warriors team was arguably the best ever (even after they ended up losing to the Cav's). When you factor in that they basically lost Harrison Barnes and replaced him with Durant plus arguably improved their supporting cast, it's not even close. In a fantasy world where this years Warriors could play the best Jordan Bulls team in the present day NBA, the Warriors would absolutely smash them

Warriors would beat any team in history. 3pt shot wasn't mastered the way it is today. Warriors have 3 guys in just their starting line up that can shoot the 3 better than anyone in Bulls entire franchise history. Steve Kerr may have higher conversion rate but way less volume.

Yea league finally realized most 2s suck and 3s are GTO. A corner 3 from a top shooter is worth almost as much as an open dunk (55-60% × 3). Almost all shots should obviously be either right near the rim or behind the perimiter. Surprised it took them this long to catch on.

Cavs lost this at the trade deadline, keeping Kevin Love was a mistake, they barely won last year, they needed to Upgrade, not saying Carmelo Anthony was the 100% guranteed answer, but watching the games, Carmelo would have had an impact, especially that game 3 loss, and game 5 during that comeback.

Ive always felt that lebron's "unselfish player" schtick was bs. its just another way to stuff his stat sheet, and ultimately his "legacy".and business branding. All this he has a genius iq in basketball is horeshit, his passes are great but his plays are average pg at best, his rebounding is also mediocre but makes a point to get his double digits every night on both and it hurts his team during very important games. i think if he focused on scoring first when he arrived in the nba he couldve easily developed into a player with more championships and scoring titles and become the GOAT.
In his case being everything to make a case for GOAT feels so forced that his clutch is light years behind killers like kobe MJ even kyrie.

If LeBron led his team to the first ever 0-3 comeback in the finals against this GSW team then he would have leapfrogged Jordan as the GOAT. Very improbable but after game 4 he was essentially 3 wins away from being the best of all time.

Lebron looks like a wide receiver with excellent basketball skills and has no perimiter shot and terrible free throw pct, he will never be the goat. He's also a terrible closer, or when so much is on the line. He leaves it up to teammates to shift blame if the shot doesnt go in and say he was on "assist" mode lmao
