Hey guys so I've never played outside of PokerStars so I decided I'm going to try to fish in some less piranha infested waters, but I have no clue, what are some good sites with juicy player pools? (200nl +)

Environment seems to be the same everywhere now. Even in sites like bet365 the fish to reg ratio is fucking terrible, and you have 0% rb the first 4 months there .. and that was probably the best place to play the last few years.

Not to mention that the traffic at 200nl++ outside PS is kind of slow. Hell I've had problems with 100nl traffic even.

P.S. 200nl+ is based on observation as I haven't really an amount that matters there, but I've spent some time observing the traffic and population.

Softer games doesn't necessarily equal higher $/hour though. At least with Stars you never have to worry about finding games, you can instantly sit in and get 4 200nl zoom tables running. I can't speak for any US sites, but Euro sites for zoom specifically don't run higher than 100 in my experience, and even then, they only really run at certain hours of the day and with a small pool at that. There's a few more non zoom tables running, but I'm not sure how good they are and you get way less hands/hr so I'm not sure if you end up with higher $/hr. If you're printing at 200 zoom stars, I think you'll be hard pushed to do better elsewhere except for specific hours of the day when there might be the odd juicy 5/10 game running on some other site. Probably no harm in splitting the roll, playing stars as normal when nothing good is going on other sites then jumping in when something good pops up?

what type of winrate do you think u could roll off at 200 on stars. zoom or non zoom. Im not trying to insult you, I just know the reg pool very well and i dont think your claim is accurate.

yeah the plan would be to mix, I mean if there isnt anything I can play stars and as good spots open start closing the stars tables.

Well I mean its an absolutely subjective claim, usually the fish/reg ration in 500nl zoom is 7/1 and in 200nl its about 3.5/1 and the lower regs (that dont go to 500nl) are considerably weaker, but I dont know what winrate I could pull but its very easy to tell that for me that its much softer than 500nl

I'm about 90% certain this one is rigged. I've played about 50k hands there and experienced the most unbelievable run I've ever had. Games are so soft that I ran like shit and still managed to turn profit at 50 and 100nl, by shit I mean imagine win:lose ratio for 200+bb pots ratio to be 1:4 or something like that. However it did feel like it was rigged to maximize rake and keep shortstacking fishes in play. I do not say such thing lightly, I've played around many sites, I feel like microgaming network for example is the most legit ever compared to natural8

Also there is no HUD there, but you dont even need one. There s a lot of money in the all in or fold tables there, if someone manages to develope a good strategy he could crush the game hard as chinese players just shove 80% randomly

ACR isn't that great although it's okay, lots of grinder because it's the only site nowadays where you can be a rakeback pro with this thing they have called "the beast" along with the 27% rakeback

Dont use ignition, use bodog, same player pool, just different "entities" for legal shenanigans. Plus the accept bitcoin if thats your thing, although you should be able to do bank wires pretty effortlessly.

Lol, I dont think a random thread here is going to change the base of a site.... Im playing on party no zoom runs above 100 regularly but there are a few reg tables of 2/5 5/10 that run fairly often

well with sites like bovada, fish like the anonymity and regs hate the shitty software. 4 tables max, slow as fuck to load, laggy experience overall, lobby does not refresh often so you can easily miss good tables, no auto-top off, have to wait till next hand to reload, cant bumhunt, no hud (that doesnt last beyond your current open table) etc etc etc. So the fish : reg ratio still seems real high since many regs probably think it's not even worth their time to bother.

the nl100 and nl200 is quite soft, always 1-3 spots at the table, nl100 usually 2, nl200 1-2

you mind elaborating on the details a bit more? I have a decent amount of money on ACR currently and the thought of my account getting "hacked" is pretty terrifying

Tbh the games there are softer now.. it was soft before but after they change their lobby to "protect rec players", there are more fish there now.

NewbSaibot   United States. May 20 2017 08:55. Posts 4943

So here's an interesting anecdote I'd like to share; i earlier said that Ignition was good because the regs avoid it like the plague due to such horrible software. Then of course you have that very select minority of regs who reconsider this and drudge through it anyway knowing it is an oasis of fish.

I decided to deposit on Black Chip tonight (because I have rakeback there) and oh my lord what a breath of fresh air it is to be playing on functional software again. While it's no pokerstars in terms of features and stability, it still feels like I've been dragged out of some nightmarish 1st gen software from 1998. It's fast, it's responsive, I can control all the tables at once, I can use hotkeys, I can auto top off, auto rebuy, change seats, take proper notes, see a proper lobby, etc etc etc. I had forgotten just how broken IG is and now I see why so many regs might avoid it knowing what they know about the player pool. I just feel like a better player on BCP. The ability to play more efficiently is good for the soul. It's sorta like trying to do the same job in an office, one who's desk is filthy with soda cans and sticky shit all over the table and another who's desk is tight, organized and easy to access everything you need. Even if the second job was a tad bit harder it's just worth it for the peace of mind.

IG software is truly terrible. I suppose if you play 10/20 or something then making $400/hr is worth it there. But I honestly think if you play 2/4 or below you're probably better off on any other platform in existence just so you can properly play more tables. I'll take the hit to my hourly for a little rakeback and usable software.
