Been listening to this girl's Starcraft piano covers for awhilee now. It doesn't get old. Theres 3 versions.

Nice, she can actually play. Most people that post themselves playing covers of songs have mediocre skill at best; bad ears, bad tone quality, etc. She actually has good technique, phrases lines nicely, and plays in a way that tries to imitate the actual instrumentation.

lag is waay better for a 6112 port forward absent client like mine, i can create games now. some things change each time i log in but so far its been improving and its just day 1

If they plan to release SC HD in Q2 they have to be quick with the fixing of bugs, so I expect that we will see a lot of small patches during this PTR.

Is your computer old, or does SCR (SC Remastered) need a super computer to be able to play it?

nah somebody suggested i fuck with my nvidia ctrl panel settings and i chose the cpu to perform the "phisx" thing instead of auto or letting the nvidia gpu to handle it, its fine now that ive set it back to auto. played a ton and lost a ton haha, a new patch will be coming out soon and fix majority of the issues

Nal_ra trying again in Busan qualifiers today facing soulkey haha. I dunno if FBH or Nada is still going to retry qualifying for ASL3 coz i read that the Busan venue for 2nd qualifiers is like 400kms from the first one

I watched a little of Nada's stream and he was just getting crushed by Rush. Unfortunately he's going nowhere in ASL

nada almost made it. Had he won the 3rd game in a bo3 he woudlve at least qualified for Round of 24 and the first round would've been 10x more dramatic, although he would've been eliminated anyway. It's sad he wasn't able to make it.

lol, funny how much people prefer playing non-mirrors. I mean myself I've race picked to avoid them for the past 10 years, but looking at those stats.. I mean it should be one third mirrors if there was no preference, but instead we're looking at a total of 94 mirrors to 671 non-mirrors.

the consensus among ex-pros were that they are not so interested in being "pros" again. But my guess is that with enough money, people will commit.

Jangbi and Killer have started streaming and will be back on the saddle on May 1 2017. Jangbi had a rough return previously after a short and unsuccessful stint at sc2 but times were different, BW was kinda dead and some ppl were at a loss what else to do if Sc2 wasn't their thing. Now that BW streaming is making them more money than ever, I think that's enough motivation to get JangBang crushing again.

Fantasy will be back too as soon as he finishes military, prob next year. Real exciting times for BW

If you have been playing the new version on b.net that shows APM at the end, I think you are getting the bump because it's counting more actions. I was playing on iccup and turned around and played on updated bnet 5 minutes later and my APM also went up by about 15%-20%; I'm guessing that setting camera hotkeys and using them count as actions now. Also a possibility, placing a building counts as 2 actions (one to select building and another to place building). Either way they are definitely counting more.

heh I wish I was like that. Games seem to be lasting way longer nowadays because of all the fast expand strats (i quit in like 2005 or so) and I think I start to slow down a bit after a certain amount of minutes into the game and I find myself getting pretty frustrated/tired towards the end of a game. I've lost a lot of games late I was clearly ahead in mid game :/

I feel like I have zero stamina in games over 15 minutes lol
I just drop dead in games past that

those are location keys, use F2 for your unit rally point and keep changing it as you change rally points for quick retrieval of fresh recruits to send to your main army, most people use f3 and f4 for expos to free up some keys for unit control groups, with Terran that has comsats hotkeyed already I think it's pointless

you can hotkey screen positions by pressing Shift-F1 through F3 then recall the screen position by hitting the respective F key. It is useful if you need to move around your camera very quickly, but without deselecting the currently selected units. Most common example is having your bases hotkeyed, and then if a drop gets by into your main, you can select the drones there, F key to another base instantly and then click on the minerals to mineral glide your drones out of danger.

Not at all useless Whamm :-p Although like you mentioned some people just use them to free up hotkeys for other stuff, they definitely have a function that normal hotkeys do not.

I actually didnt have very high expectations bc i dont think remastered needs to be done at all (besides game revival), but I'm fairly disappointed after seeing this... even after setting the bar low initially :/

It would be very nice if we get customizable UI and be able to adjust its parts.

I only want the matchmaking anyway, the less changes they make, the better. I think they just wanted scr as an option for old players and make it more compatible with newer machines, new players will never take this game competitively since it's way too hard to be good at and kids nowadays just dont have the time for such a commitment.

Very happy it's coming out with matchmaking and new online features. Graphics are ok, we aren't playing this game for that reason anyway

I strongly disagree. If you think Flash is going to be the king forever you will be proved wrong by the new generation of players pretty soon (next 4 years). As with WC3 and every other online competitive game - the new generation of players will always have stronger players thus pushing that SC HD is super important, although I agree there are many things they have to work on now, but their team is fantastic (I follow the official forums) and one year from now this will look 10/10.

Remastered is all about the matchmaking. I couldn't care less about graphics changes. Would prefer it to stay as close to the original as possible.

Well I liked it. It stayed close to the original. I don't remember all the details perfectly maybe thats why I'm not bothered by small changes. Didn't expect they would 'reinvent' anything so I really like it. The idea that it's getting a revival is what I like the most though. That and matchmaking. If I get decent internet by the time it's released I might play a few games if I have any time.

The fucking command center is GOLD... I'm done.

Shitty internet here too! Could hardly load sc2 stuff so I'm hoping the reboot doesn't take too much internet. It shouldn't in theory but you never know.

If you had registered your old game cd-key on the site you could have just redownloaded the installer from your b.net account and played for free. It's also really easy to find working cd-keys online for free.

Zergs are starting to win more against Flash, but in a completely different way from Larva's approach. Larva is leaning towards turtling up, rushing to defilers/queens and trying to outplay at the end while the other successful zergs seem to be attacking more early-mid game. I don't think Larva can expect his approach to work in big starleagues and he should consider a more pressure based approach.
