Any suggestions for a new PC mouse?

I'm in the market for a new mouse for my PC. Any suggestions?

I currently use an old Razer Krait that I've had for a long time. I was going to buy a new Krait, but I don't think they make this model anymore. That being said, I want to get away from Razer mice, as we all know they don't last a long time and they're generally more expensive due to their name and use for gaming -- I'm not a gamer.

I want to buy it from Amazon so I can use my gift cards. Since I only want it for general PC stuff and not gaming, I'm looking to spend under $40.

Example: If I wanted to buy an inexpensive gaming mouse, I could purchase the Razer Abyss for $32.

I've only used 2 mouses past 12 years or so. Logitech mx10 for like 8-9 ( its out of production ) and Razer Deathadder. I'd just buy the Abyss if I were you, otherwise it wont really matter. Low quality mouses probably don't differ much, but would stick with logitech or microsoft mouse

What you should notice is what your mouse grip is and what mouse you need for it. For example Claw grip which I use naturally isn't the best for the deathadder as its not a "tall" mouse.

Logitech marathon mouse $20, I have one that's lasted more than 2 years now without problems.

I've used various versions of Razer's Deathadder for the past 5-6~ years now, I'm on my 3rd maybe? But I think only 1 of them broke (the left mouse button wore down), so I'd say they are quite sturdy.

Would very highly recommend it even if you want to get away from Razer, unless you have smaller hands since it's kinda big (for reference, my hands aren't huge, but I find the abyss a bit small).

What's your style of mouse grip/do you like all of the gross buttons on the side

For me personally I use a claw grip so I prefer smaller mice and buttons on the side are just in the way and confusing. That archetype of mouse is generally a cheap travelling laptop mouse so I had to pay a bit extra to get a logitech daedalus. (would recommend if you're like me)

never understood the giant mouse with 25 buttons on the side stuff.

I've used a bunch of Razor Deathaddlers, that all broke in the left mousebutton, and switched to a cheaper logitech like G310 or something, that I like better and doesn't break as fast.

Back in the day, Razer mice were known for being expensive and only lasting a year before breaking. Many casual and newb gamers used to love Razer, while the pro gamers all used small Logitech mice.

Thanks guys, these are some good responses thus far.

As for my style of mouse and size of mouse, I like the mouse to be as basic and possible and be medium in size. I consider my hands to be medium in size for a guy, so those big mice that some people use in eSports/gaming are not for me. If you know anything about the Razer Krait mouse, it was made specifically for gamers who are minimalists, i.e. they want a classic feel to their mouse and don't want to be bothered with buttons and the size is classic and not big.

The Razer Krait I'm currently using probably cost me around $45 when I bought it. It has no buttons on the side. It's just a basic optical mouse with good DPI (I don't care about DPI anymore). The top of the mouse has the left and right pads with the basic roller thing in the middle.

I ordered this mouse a few days ago and just received it.

Instead of getting it from NewEgg, I got it from Amazon for $29.15 + $7 for shipping: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Daeda...r=8-1&keywords=Logitech+G302+Daedalus

I used my Amazon gift cards, so I just had to pay the $7 out of my own money.

The mouse is a good fit and works fine thus far. From what I can tell by reading the reviews, it seems like a good mouse that lasts long and is somewhat "basic" when compared to other gaming mice, which is what I like. Thanks for the recommendation.
