Los Angeles and San Francisco in February, trip advice.

Hello LP.

Going to Los Angeles & San Francisco in February. I'm looking for advice on what's good there. Staying for two weeks total.
Accommodation. Right now i'm browsing through airbnb because i've had good experiences using the service in Europe.
Car rental is weird, the final price is made up of stuff. Stuff i have no idea about. I hope using the big rentals can't fuck me too bad because of tight competition. No idea what i'm doing here so someone with expert knowledge please write here or pm me.
Things to do list is pretty full as is but suggestions are welcome.
Food. I'll consider anything. Egg slut, noodle whore, whatever else there is. Feel free to list your favourite restaurant or food truck in the area.

Hah, I'm planning on doing the same in May or June. Also going to visit Big Sur, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia national park. So I'm also following this thread.

I'm going to fly into San Fran first and not renting a car until I leave. I'm not worried about the car rental price, I'm more worried about how much hotels charge for parking. Some of the hotels I were looking at were like $59 a night for parking. Outrageous.

I'll be arriving in San Francisco and rent a car for the L.A. trip.
On airbnb there's a filter to search for places with parking... worth checking out.

Highly recommend El Chato taco truck for late night food. The best taco in the world. 9PM+ closed sun/monday
