I already bet on gadelha for that odds. 30 bucks (+180). I am waiting for the rest of the odds.

I am also following this season of TUF, rooting for Tatiana Suarez and Cory Hendricks.

You are picking CG over JJ su? Or just find value.

I'm pretty surprised at this. I know the first fight was uber close but I think 5 rounds is favorable to JJ as well as the fact that she has a much better chance of finishing the fight.

I think the Maynard vs Bruno matchup is pretty hilarious and sad that they have to go this far down the roster to find Maynard a win at this point.

I like Claudia to beat JJ straight up.

Claudia vs JJ

The first fight was actually won by Claudia. Mma decisions has 12 for claudia and only 2 for Joanna. This was only 18 months ago.
Claudia is +160

Hard to tell which fighter improved the most, But Joanna probably gained the most confidence of the two.
My guess is Joanna probably did not improve a tons more than claudia in striking, since Joanna was already a muay thai champ (you can't improve that much when ur already super elite...)
On the other hand, its likely Joanna worked on her ground game and TDD.

The fight is 5 rounds. This in theory should help Joanna.
Joanna has looked really good since then, but i honnestly think those 3 opponements she just beat are really weaker than both claudia and Joanna.

At current odds i have an hard time deciding which girl to bet, but i think i lean Claudia. I mean the fight with Letourneau was arguably somewhat competitive, and Claudia is leagues above Letourneau.

Brooks vs Pearson
This looks like a showcase fight where the ufc wants to introduce us the ex lightweight champ against a known but easy name.
Value is probably going to be on Brooks, but we need to see the odds.

I don't want to abuse MMA maths, but Brooks is around Alvarez's level, which should easily get the job done against Pearson.

Matthews vs Lee

Matthews improve a lot every fights. I think he is a future star. The last version we saw of Matthews would probably beat Lee, so i have no doubt he should win this one. Lee is also not known to have much KO power, so this should be a reasonably safe bet.

Choi vs Tavares
Choi is amazing and could be a future champ.
But Tavares is 3rd degree black belt in BJJ and its probably GG if it hits the ground.
Choi vs Sicilia was short, but from that fight, Choi didn't appear to be insanely good at wrestling or on the ground.

I would still favor choi, but if i can get good odds on tavares i think i would pick him.

Weird no TUF competitors on the card? Cory Hendricks should be facing someone as Dana said so, unless his injury went into depth. They probably wait for the show to finish to post the other fights though.

Gadelha vs JJ , just bet on whoever is the "underdog". Neither has a big edge so pick the value bet

Why are they favorable to her ? Sure didn't seem that way in their last fight. She does have more experience in 5 rounds fights, but I don't think it matters in this case as both have great conditioning

This is as good as it gets for WMMA right now. Still not that excited but should be good.

Glad to see Will Brooks in the UFC, though Pearson isn't really a great opponent.

Choi vs Tavares is actually a pretty dope fight. Choi's boxing is fun.

Picks: JJ, Brooks, Lee, Choi.

hmm, odds are very close now for JJ vs Gadelha. JJ very much playable now.

I think JJ is going to take over this fight in the later rounds. Also looking at the props bet 365 has JJ R4 +2200 and R5 +3300. Great value for some small stabs, imo.

I just updated the OP.

The time was off, and all the fights were out of order because of the late additions of the TUF finalists.

Agreed.

It's one of those situations where the fight is going to look reasonably close almost every time but the edge in cardio and massive edge in striking should bare out a victory over 5 for JJ well over half the time.

Here's some stats that I've been adding to for a few months. They're mostly for PPV cards, which is where most title fights happen. I added UFC FN 90 because it had a title fight on it.

• UFC FN 90: Alvarez > dos Anjos (ITD)
• UFC 199: Bisping > Rockhold (ITD), and Cruz > Faber (decision)
• UFC 198: Miocic > Werdum (ITD)
• UFC 197: Jones > OSP (boring decision, vacant interim title), and Johnson > Cejudo (ITD)
• UFC 196: Diaz > McGregor (ITD, non-title), and Miesha > Holm (ITD)
• UFC 195: Lawler > Condit (split-decision robbery)*
• UFC 194: McGregor > Aldo (ITD), and Rockhold > Weidman (ITD)
• UFC 193: Holm > Rousey (ITD)

Titles changed hands: 7
Main event upsets: 7*
Main events ended ITD: 6/8

Wow @ Lee vs Mathews.

Surprised Lee was able to bully him like that. Super impressive just wondering where that was at his last couple fights.

Lee was winning, but that referee was dumb af. He instantly called for the fighter to move right right he was put in a bad position. You usually wait to see if a fighter is getting hurt before you tell him to move/stay busy/protect yourself.
