It would probably be good if it was about aging b struggling vs a weakened but still powerful and corrupt s and barely making it, sort of how it went down in the comic but darker. But my guess is they just messed up because they tried to put too much shit in the movie. Wonderwoman? Random monster that will unite b&s? Just why?

imo the problem is that they're planning 5 movies ahead. If only they tried to make a simple, somewhat artful & entertaining action film...

I liked it. I question what people were expecting when they went into a comic book movie when they said they didn't like it. That said though it was somewhat annoying with the pacing. While it was 2:30 hours. something about it seemed rushed. For those that don't follow movie news. Zack snider has said that the Ultimate version(rated R) coming out on blueray is actually the version it was supposed to be until recrently. 4-5 months ago after the movie was already done. Warner bros wanted it cut down from 3hour and 5 mins to 2:30. So they forced him to heavily edit it and reduce it by 30 minutes. Theres already scenes popping up online ive heard from other people. So I'm not caught up. As a movie it has a lot of faults. But I blame editing and the studio fiddling with it. Theres a few dialogue and plot devices that were pretty underwhelming. But honestly its a comic book movie. If the movie didn't meet your expectations. Blame yourself. This is a comic book movie..I give it a 7.5 out of 10 for what its supposed to be. Maybe eventually lower it to 7/10 but I have to rewatch it.

The Dark Knight is a comic movie and its a pretty good movie

Pretty sure that R-rated version is just a publicity stunt to sell boxed copies. There have been a few pg-13 movies with these "directors cut" and "unrated" editions release and the content added was utterly trivial. I mean cmon its Batman, he knew damn well the movie would have to be PG-13 to get greenlit for release, so why bother filming a bunch of bullshit he knows will never make it?

Marvel gets way better reviews
Dark Knight was just awesome liked by everyone, just Nazi elitist Academy awards ignored it for main categories but even at the Ceremony Hugh Jackman was poking fun at the fact.

There are well reviewed comic book movies, and loads of them

I had low expectations initially, didn't expect to almost fall asleep though

Watched it. Almost turned it off mid movie. Movie was garbage except maybe the last 20 minutes. Really did not like the actor playing batman in this movie.

I've loved a lot of comic book movies. dark knight, watchmen, xmen days of future past, all are great comic book movies.

Biggest problem with this one is that they tried to make one movie out of material for 2-3 movies. second biggest problem is that superman is a crappy superhero because he is way too super - although the whole concept of 'humanity turns on him because the collateral damage is too great even though all he wants to do is save them' could be alright.

Sadly I think this is probably true. Going to see the movie this week. Hopefully with my lowered expectations due to this thread I will actually like it

I just saw it and liked it. Because of all the bad reviews, I kept waiting for it to get bad but I enjoyed it throughout.

My only two complaints:

It looked cartoony with all of the CGI.

The guy who played Lex Luthor was bad.

remove batman in the movie, insert wonderwoman only. then title it Man of Steel 2: Superman on Trial - save 20million on affleck's absence too
easy 1billion in a 2 weeks.

Then make the batman vs superman for the 3rd movie, insert aqua, cyborg, flash, New Badass version of Lex bald Luthor,

probably 4th movie for Darkseid buildup and Justice league official formation and need,

5th movie tie it all together beginning to end - make it a 2 hour 30minute fight scene between justice league vs darkseid and Luthor :D
