Wikipedia: "On 23 March 2015 it was announced that Lombard had been suspended for one year (retroactive to January 3, 2015) and fined his original $53,000 win bonus, plus one-third of the rest of his purse, which included $53,000 in show money and had his win over Josh Burkman overturned to a no contest by the NSAC for failing his UFC 182 drug test. In addition to his suspension, fine and overturning of the win, Lombard also must pass a drug test prior to getting relicensed by the NSAC.

In his first fight after the PED suspension was lifted, Lombard is expected to face Neil Magny on March 20, 2016 at UFC Fight Night 85."

30 bucks on Hunt + Lombard to win 105. Thats my only bet on this card.

This is a pretty bad matchup for Hunt, no?

I always enjoy watching his fights. The one vs Big Foot was probably the greatest fight I've ever seen.

I think Mir is tremendously underrated here. To the point that I think he can actually get hurt and recover if he does choose to stand.

If I were to bet both guys, I'd take Lombard ML +120, and Hunt ML -165 and Hunt/Mir o1.5 -105.

I wouldn't say it's a "bad" match-up, but it might end up looking like a bad match-up if the fight goes down in the few ways I see it going. Either Hunt wins in the first 10 mins, or Mir can win anytime within the 25-minute fight or by decision. It's not impossible for Hunt to win a decision, but I just don't see it happening in this fight.

Mir has improved cardio and striking, and he's the taller, longer, stronger fighter with better BJJ and he'll have the luxury of facing a short fighter who will allow him to fight on the outside.

Even though Hunt isn't afraid to stand and bang, he uses his technical striking and power to win fights these days. After the first 10 mins, he'll begin to slow down and be willing to trade more and get into wild exchanges.

I think Mir is underrated here, too.

It should be a fun fight either way.

Frank Mir has a mediocre chin and no wrestling. Mark Hunt is gonna land and Mir is going down.

I guess theres a chance Mir avoids engaging and leg kicks Hunt and avoids him for like 10 minutes and Hunt slows down and Mir can take over. But Hunt hits like a tank and isn't afraid to go for it like Arlovski/Reem today. He's gonna hunt Mir down and land a big punch.

Lombard vs Magney is a tough call. Guys usually come back from getting busted looking much worse than they did before. Usually don't want to risk another bust and their careers being over so they come off it and lose a significant ability in their performance. And that's on top of Lombard looking very unimpressive against Burkman while on steroids. Think I like Magny in this fight but tough to call.

More support for Mir here than I would've thought. I don't really see that the matchup is so terrible for Hunt. Hunt has gradually improved his takedown defense and it's not like Mir can just rush in to clinch and just wrestle him down...partially because Mir's not actually good at that and also because running straight into a striker like Hunt who knows that's what you're doing is a pretty bad idea imo. Hunt can and does use uppercuts and Mir's going to get one straight on the face if he just ducks his head into a bullrush. Also don't buy Mir's improved standup. I mean yeah it has. But not to the point that he can just sit there and stand with Hunt all day long. He starched two fighters, Todd Duffee and Bigfoot, who are basically walking KO's these days. With that said, I'm never on any side on a Hunt fight until he gets on the scale. Def will be fairly large on him if he looks like he had a great camp/cut.

Interested to see what Lombard looks like. Going to be on Magny. He's a smart, tough dude and I think all he'll have to do to win and take over the fight vs a non-roided Lombard is to fight smart the first 2 to 3 minutes.

Hooker seems like an easy one elsewhere just because Eddiva sucks at MMA

Te Huna also looks enticing because Bosse is another dude that is a walking KO but man...Te Huna sucks too...and it'd be kinda cool to see a former NHL enforcer actually win some UFC fights

I give like 0 credit to Mir for this 'example of Mir is not just a BJJ guy.' It's like Duffee fights like the name of the game is to leave maximum exposure to his face/chin at all times

Don't think this is a bad match up for Hunt at all. Mir has huge edge on the ground, but very limited skills to take the fight there. Mir stand up has always been bad with a suspect chin. Hunt should take this by KO, imo.

Yeah it isnt a bad matchup for Hunt, as Stim said he is a terrible wrestler to me he is like a Werdum but slightly worse in all aspects, chin, bjj, striking and cardio.

Stim makes it sound like Mir wearing down Hunt isnt likely and I disagree, Mir is very hittable and can easily get KOd but if he manages to get past half the 2nd I think its very likely he takes down Hunt and submits him

I mean it's possible, but I don't think it happens more than like 20%. When have you ever seen Mir be evasive? He's usually super lackadaisical and get's KO'd for it if people are willing to go after him.

Should note I didn't watch much of the Arlovski fight. I knew once Arlovski started shadow boxing the air it was gonna be a snoozer.

As for my comments on Lombard, recent pics show he looks as ridiculous as ever. So he's probably still on the sauce.

^ Damien Brown cut a lot of weight for this fight on short notice. He didn't say how much. No idea how his usual cardio looks. He said he's good in every area of MMA, but not great in any single area.

^ Ross Pearson wants to entertain the fans in this fight since his last opponent fought in a way that didn't allow him to actually fight and entertain people. He said he wants to fight smarter, but when he gets hit, he goes into autopilot and gets reckless. Pearson did his camp in Australia for this fight, that way his team could focus solely on him.

^ Leslie Smith had knee surgery (meniscus) back in April 2015. She's been asking for fights for awhile, but was never given anything. The time adjustment in Australia hasn't messed with her at all.

^ Bec Rawlings pulled out of her fight against Joanne Calderwood on July 11, 2015, due to cracking the neck of her femur. After she had surgery on her leg, she was on crutches for 4-5 months. She said her doctor told her she injured herself due to being malnourished and over-training. She said fighting on March 20, 2016, has given her the right amount of time to heal up and get the strength back in her leg, etc.

Lombard still looks juiced to the gills, this is supposed to be a pic from a week ago. Maybe worth stabbing him now against Magny with the recent line movement .

I'm kind of liking Hunt at -160 as well.

You almost twin-caracked his AK - JonnyCosmo
