I got so caught up in life that I completely forgot to post this once the official video was released. My bad, but here it is.

Nice fight, your style reminds me a lot of Forrest Griffin. Only advice would be to be a little more careful with hands, you're giving up some height/reach to most HWs, so throwing mostly hooks gives them a big length advantage on you. But really liked your defense off your back in the first round, took no damage at all on bottom, and your hard work on cardio really showed.

Congrats on the win. I liked the knees.

Aside from working on your jab, I'd suggest working on your BJJ, especially your chokes. IMO, you could've sunk in a head-and-arm choke pretty easily. Also, your RnC attempts need some work.

I'm mostly impressed with your cardio and knees, and those two things are a big plus at heavyweight.

I'm curious, with a performance like this how confident are you in a street fight? Like I know competitive MMA and random bar fights are 2 different things, but if you can survive 8 minutes in the ring at your size and strength, do you feel you can pretty much destroy anyone you come in contact with in the real world?

bye now

Going to assume that was a compliment ^ ^ Cardio did feel good, like I could have went another round or more. Really need to work on aggression, I feel I could have just completely mauled him from the top but I found myself trying to finish it while also doing as little damage as possible if that makes sense, like I just wanted the ref to stop it without having to hurt him, probably not the best mind set to have during a fight.

Thanks, yea I'd like to chalk most of it up to nerves but it should be just pure muscle memory by now so that shouldn't be an excuse. I'm going to start competing more in BJJ tournaments to work on staying focused during the moment and not missing those opportunities.

I was a lot more confident before this performance to be honest. Didn't realize how hard nerves would effect me fighting at home. Luckily the next one lined up is in Grant's Pass Oregon so I won't have to worry about that.

haha yes, forrest griffin comparison was a complement. strong cardio, comfortable off your back, well rounded, powerful leg kicks, nice knees inside, and wrestling probably your weakest area, but that's not a big deal because with your build you should be able to stuff takedowns well against the cage like you did most of the first round.

You didn't really answer his question tho, it was a good one. Are you confident you could beat 95% of people off the street?

LOL, you guys are insane. Of the 7 billion human beings on earth, there are <10k who can win a fight vs him. You think he wonders if some random bro on the street can beat him up?

Interesting breakdown, can't say I disagree too much.

I'll keep training til that number is much much lower ^ ^

I feel kind of like a dick saying it, but I don't even really think about it as much as I just assume it I guess. I will admit I do catch myself sizing up the occasional extra large male in public. Was at dinner the other night and a guy walked by had to be at least 6'6 300lbs pretty solid build and my first thought was that I'd like to fight him. Nothing against him or anything, just that I thought it would be fun to test myself against someone larger.
