my first orbit at the table, villain (LP) is young talkative asian kid sitting on 200-250bb. I am sitting with 100

EP opens 10, I call, LP call, BB call

Flop 9c 6c 3s (pot $38)

BB checks, EP checks, I bet 25, LP raises to 60, BB fold, EP fold, I call

Turn 9c 6c 3s 6d (pot $158)

I check, LP bets 60, I call

River 9c 6c 3s 6d Ks (pot $278)

I check, LP bets 185, I ?

I have been getting crushed lately live so time to check some spots i would otherwise consider standard.

Wettest flop every into the brickest runout possible... can they be bluffing ever ?? (25%)

I have my best calling hand here blocking the 9 (better than holding 1010 here obv)

I mean holy shit i lose to 3 combos of 33, 1 combo 66, 1 99, 1 96ss combo and that is it. Don't think he rivers a king after raising a flushdraw or something and vbets like this. May have K9 in the range but not sure probably have to discount it some given the pre/flop/turn line.

Even if he only raises and bombs flushdraw&gutshot+ that is 5 bluffing combos to balance out the vbets and allow me a breakeven or +ev call (not that i actually expect to face this tight of a strat but who knows). But does he even fire river? sometimes i wonder if some live players ever bluff at all...

just be glad his betsizing wasn't better and he didn't get more?

I think you can find a fold here for sure. I think the small turn bet followed by a river bet is almost always a indication of value.

It's going to be very rare that a draw would bet $60 on that turn while in position. More often than not live this is a FH trying to enticing draws to call. On the river, he's checking back any value hand you beat almost always since the draw missed. Pretty easy fold.

with an open of 10 this is essentially a limped pot. guy raises you with four people in the pot. two very bad signs for your hand being just one pair. unless he is one of those guys that to hang himself raising pots 4 way without the goods.

it might seem nitty but im for a fold on the flop right after you put a bet to see where your hand was and he raised you. Save so much more money this way in the future.

given the ranges involved I think A9 is clearly a much better call than any overpair 1010-AA; pretty much boated or i'm good; maybe some spazz flop raise with 6x 1/100 scenarios or K9 1/1000 but I think he never has an overpair- he will always reraise pre vs the minopen

I'm not saying this isn't a fold though; should prob just dump river given he ain't bluffing much especially this way. All i'm saying is that if i ever call without a boat this is the hand. I would much rather block a ton of his most likely value combos than have a slight increase in the absolute strength of my hand versus what is a clearly polarized range.

I like flop fold. His bluffs have great equity (some will even be slight favorites) and his value hands have us mostly dead. Almost no one goes crazy bluffing in these spots so I wouldn't worry about getting bulldozed.

Yeah just fold the flop and move on. I also disagree that your average live player is going to 3bet 1010-QQ vs a min raise

i agree with fold flop too, he raising right after u with 2 behind datz like wtf top set with nut flush draw and backdoor nut flush draw. it cant be terrible mistake to call tho cos so small... but riv i prob fold it looks too stronk after the flop action

i dont agree that the turn bet size says anything... rly standard turn sizing on that card boats aint wanna bet large and fold out draws n draws dont wanna bet large drawing dead etc and he repping boats and combodraws he aint gonna smash the turn with like 87c
