Pokerstars Security - Account closed

Hey Guys

I've not been playing lots of poker the last few years however this summer i have deposited like 500 USD and been playing a little bit of poker.
When i had like 1.5-2k USD there i took out the 500 USD again and then just spewed everydthign but like 200 USD away one day.

Last Sunday i wanted to play the 5 Million guaranteed Sunday Million and my account was blocked, after that i wrote Pokerstars only to get the following reply now:

"Hello Matthias,

Thank you for your email.

In line with our internal security processes we carry out periodic business risk assessments on randomly selected accounts.

We regret to inform you that your account has not passed this recent screening process, which has resulted in the permanent closure of your account.

As per our Terms of Services available at: http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/tos/ (...) ‘PokerStars retains authority over the issuing, maintenance, and closing of Users' accounts on the Site. The decision of PokerStars' management, as regards any aspect of a User's account, use of the Service, or dispute resolution, is final and shall not be open to review or appeal.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Has anyone ever had this and any idea why this could have happened ? I used to play a lot during the years from 2008-2011 and never had any issues nor did i move address nor anything else.

Pokerstars has become a joke. support has gone down the hill. hope you solve the problem soon. Those assholes didn't even give you an explanation. For them, just one winning player less to worry about.

Never heard of something similar, that seems strange as hell. Just msg them back and ask what was the problem and whatsoever.

they dont want people "building" bankrolls online, theyd rather u keep depositing 2k and play 200nl 4 tables just like any fish lol

maybe you dumped $ to some banned/investigated accounts

yeah i have written them back but no response so far, i keep you posted.

I read of one guy that got this as well and after few days his account was unlocked, but still this is really strange

okay so i got a reply:

Whilst we understand that this decision will be frustrating we are exercising our authority to close any account as outlined in our Terms of Services available at: http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/tos/

I have asked them once more a) what happens to my balance and b) if they could call me and explain my wrong doing as i have no clue why

So i have paid them over 100k in rake over the years i played actively and now they do this - no idea why

Ehh, that sucks and sounds really shady. Do keep us updated on what happens..

asked them several times to give me a call to explain it to a client/user for many years but nothing.

wow. closing the account is ridiculously bad, but not explaining why is completely unacceptable

It's weird that you don't get to find out what rule in ToS you broke, that is if you did break a rule. Either way it's pretty fucked up.

there was another player that made a thread on 2p2 with basically a similar story to yours but their account got closed and their funds were seized..
