I'd have liked to think Uriah's insane athleticism will give Gegard a lot of problems. But in terms of just fighting skill, doesn't seem close to me. And just two fights ago, Rafael freaking Natal made it seem like Uriah had no real fight IQ. |
Yah Hall's fight IQ is garbage, it seems like he never comes in with a real strategy. It was a mistake betting him as a big favorite for that reason (cost me a bunch of money).
With that in mind, if this fight were just skill-set vs skill-set, I would favor Hall only because I think he stuffs Mooses TD's and is more dangerous on the feet.
Only a couple people who's opinion I respect seem to think there is any reasonable chance Hall wins, as opposed to almost everyone else in the Mousasi camp. Really just going with my own convictions on this one, so I can't feel great about it.
I just think hes way too talented and capable of winning to be marked as not live, considering in theory he's entering his professional prime - despite the age similarity, I'd like to think Hall's learning curve would be a lot steeper in his favor.
We'll see what happens, but I'd be pretty surprised if Mousasi just runs through him easily.
I think Mousasi is the rightful favorite due to his consistency and all-around craftiness - but if a guy is most likely gonna need to rely on said consistency and craftiness to win, I don't see how he is any type of value at -650. Gotta be a dog or pass unless I'm just totally off on how good each guy is - which is not only possible but probable given the odds.

lmao... Can't believe Anzai managed to get a TKO in the 3rd round, even though it was a fluke TKO. He was on his way to winning a clear-cut decision, though. |

Kajan Johnson could've finished a couple different times, but he didn't push the pace. Sad, but oh well... |

Bam, ship it Kajan.
And honestly, that was a very nice performance vs a shitty guy with great heart. |

Now it's time for Kasuya to shock the world and take Hein's back multiple times I hope. |

Aside from Kajan Johnson's performance, this card has sucked thus far.
I went into this card thinking the first 2 fights would be entertaining.
Hopefully the Keita Nakamura vs. Li Jingliang fight isn't as boring as I think it will be. |

WOWOWOWOWOWOW!
Nakamura vs. Li was pretty damn good!
Nakamura was almost TKO`ed in the 2nd round. In the 3rd round, he got taken down and turned the corner real quick and then sunk in an RnC like a boss! Sick comeback for the Japanese fighter.
Prior to the submission, I was ready to call Li the Chinese GOAT in MMA due to his improved striking. |

I'm glad that fight is over... ...Roop is so bad.
Anyway, time for the 3 more exciting fights on the card, at least on paper. |

Both Hirota and Ishihara are in the hospital. Due to Japan fucking up and not having a 4th round to act as a tie-breaker, Dana White is giving both fighters a 6-figure UFC contract. |

Hard to say. I personally think Mousasi would've recovered enough to fight on (especially how fast he reacted once the referee stopped it), but it depends on the judge; some judges would've stopped it later, some sooner.
Either way, Mousasi owned himself by ducking right into the spinning back kick.
Pure luck win by Hall, but a sick win nonetheless. |

tbh I thought Mousassi - Hall will look more close than that. That was a lucky win for Hall, he was getting owned and other than a hail mary KO, there was no way that He was going to win that fight. Add to that Mousassi's legendary chin that was a sick suck out. I am not complaining though, made some money on that |
