I'm pretty sure in one of the previous pod's Doug did with Joe, he had mentioned Wobbly at length. There was like 3-4 guys that single handedly got him from 2/4 to 25/50. I definitely remember that Nanonoko was another one that he crushed really hard.

I found it interesting that he also mentioned in that most recent pod that he thought Wobbly was still winning even though Doug himself was already winning so much off of him. Kinda speaks to how strong of a player Wobbly was in that time playing 6m and FR I'd imagine

he was referring just to playing wobbly HU but I think he was saying that in the FR and 6m games wobbly was still a big winner

I just listened to the podcast. WCG talks about how he moved from 3/6 to 25/50 HU just from playing wobbly "That's the way to do it just keep playing the same person on the way up". Another funny bit is WCG saying something like "it's to bad when someone gets smashed down and they don't come back up again" **slight pause** "of course i put a lot of people down there." haha

Here is the thread where people accuse wcgrider of multi-accounting with jungleman, WCG defends himself and talks about playing wobbly:

Thread created by wcg titled "ty wobbly"

If i remember correctly Wobbly was indeed convinced he was multiaccounting with I think Jungleman, given his recents results I think more likely it was himself playing, im not sure if he was ghosting or something but he doesnt seem that close to the previous HU monsters (Sauce, Jungle, Dwan, Galfond).

Wobbly played WCG HU because we all considered him a 6max fish, he was pretty spazzy and bad in general so Wobbly assumed he would be as bad in HU and he probably was better and ran hot.

I think Wobbly would be unpleasantly surprised of WCG success lately lol.

Also there have been talks at 2p2 that there was massive highstakes cheating that went on, or might be still be going on. It was insinuated that the feared HS players have been multi accounting. It was tweeted even by some guy poker player highstakes guy, and the 2p2'er fanboys were like "Give proof or it didn't happen... blah blah".

I'm not sayng it's true or that I believe it 100%. And of course I'm skeptical. But I wouldn't be overly surprised if it were all true,

when has his name come up in cheating scandals other than during his quick rise from midstakes to nosebleeds? if you just mean he made a new accounts or used friends' accounts to get action then yeah, pretty sure that's very common, especially from people who have trouble getting action otherwise (not trying to justify or excuse it, just saying he has a lot of company there).

but he made his name in HUNL so it's kinda hard for him to be colluding or similar, which i'd consider a much more serious and worrisome form of cheating.

^ A valid argument. But is ghosting common in highstakes HU matches tho?

Not related to WCG. I'm just asking.. It's really easy to do if you think about it.

ah, yeah i'm not really sure. i'd guess it happens a fair amount, kind of hard when there's rules that are basically unenforceable.

Yeah exactly. It wouldn't be all that surprising if it was exposed how rampant the Girah-esque shenanigans are.
