nolan i dont even care to touch live cashgames ever again, the last 10 years of my life has been exclusively online mtts and online 6max. i'm not fucking with that formula. I did and it fucked me up bigtime, going back to what works for me.

trax, you have good points, but i fucking hate live poker (unless its a tourney with a nice first place), obv you are extremely partial to it, my friend John loves it too. Its not for everyone. I don't enjoy it at all.

i would expect you guys to understand going from mass tabling to 1 tabling for the first time in 6 years isn't the easiest experience in the world.

trax, there are a lot of regs at 50+, the major trick is to just stay on 40%+ tables and leave when the fish busts and keep 4 tables going theres always atleast 1-2 fish per table, very very rarely i run into a regfilled table. when that happens i just leave in 5 hands.

about 75% reg 25% fish ratio at nl50

you can def find tables of 3-5 fish at different times though, it happens quite often actually.

4TM, i complain about that flip cuz that one really sticks out, but in general I'm playing way too much like online and not correctly enough live it seems.

I don't even care about live at all anymore other than MTTs which I ENJOY and love live.

online cashgames are just relaxing and a way to print the monies, i don't enjoy live cash, would you do something if u didn't enjoy it? would you pursue going after it with your life if u don't like it?

Sounds like you should throw some money on wsop.com and gogo. I haven't played a single hand of live cash so far during the series because of how good the 6m NL games are. Plus you get rakeback.

A thing I've noticed about you neilly is that you make this big divide between games as though they are fundamentally different (in some ways they are but NLHE is NLHE and poker is poker) when talking about live NLHE caah for online cash vs mTt vs live plo. I haven't posted in this thread but you address me which is cool but I think you make some assumptions about me. I actually only switched to a lot of live a few (6?) months ago because I was absolutely shocked how soft even 2/5 was in comparison to virtually any online game. It's chill and easy money so I play it. But I always did and still do play a lot of online poker to stay sharp, multitable, and play my co-main game PLO which I can rarely play live. I'm not partial to live by any means. It is just easy. 3k should also make 1-2 and even 1-3 (which plays twice as big) fairly comfortable. Higher winrates and live leads to lower standard deviation, smaller swings. It's not like mutitabling hu online vs a closely matched opponent where you might swing 10-20 bi reasonably. It's not even like back in the day with the 20bi rule you can use less if necessary and I take shots and cash out down to 10-15bi without much concern of risk of ruin. Although I recognize it is there. I don't post hand histories anymore because I play on bovada and don't use any tracking software. I've started using piosolver though so I should probably at least start tracking and analyzing myself.

U didn't lose ur whole 3k roll live right just some and then put 300 online and kept some to live? Do you have some side income from work/family or support yourself and keep a roof over your head solely from poker ?

Avg game isn't quite as good as Bovada and there are a lot less. A lot more huge spots though + rake back

edit: also substantially less hit and running is a nice change

cant beat live, move to online where they respect your raises
