Carbon Poker Withdrawals

Warning to LP - do not deposit on Merge / Carbon.

They are not paying out their players. I think some sites online are claiming they are, but it does not seem that way.

I have been waiting 3 months for a 1k withdrawal and I still haven't even received an indication it will be sent, only vague info about a backlog from the Superbowl.

*Edit - Carbon Support said they would like to tell me when I would receive my funds but did not want to get my hopes up*

I think even with a backlog, it is unlikely. More and more regs are leaving, tournaments are failing to meet guarantees (even when they are being lowered) and Skrill stopped affiliation with them.

Please, do not deposit with Carbon.

Have already had to accept that I am likely going to forfeit my remaining balance on the site.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do you have stuck on Carbon?

I was telling a guy at my card room that I played on Carbon. He was like "oh yeah, that money is gone". So I've been just pretending it's play money since I'll never be able to withdraw it. The same guy spoke very highly of bovada and said he always gets his withdrawals super fast and with no issues. So I guess I'll give it a try.

Rinny - even if that's the case, p2p is not allowed and when I did go to a SNG and intentionally lose to a friend so he could play (he had a really tiny balance) they froze our accounts for 'colluding and ruining the integrity of the games' despite it being a HU sng and at the $11 level. I have tried to trade and suggested a HU sng method or just play cash games to 'trade it' (lose it) but it is unlikely to be worth the risk and I have not found a taker yet.

Trav94 - I do not mind you asking; I hope you do not mind me not answering But I will say this. At their current cashout limits and processing times...it would take me well over a year to get the money off. I do not keep my net worth on there or anything - I work a regular job.

SuperCardUser - I have heard the same things about Bovada and the WPN network - fast cashouts, multiple cashout options....WPN even lets you withdraw into bitcoin. The thing is, Carbon software is SOOOOOOO much better than WPN and Bovada, it is stupid. Some people love the anonymous tables, etc of Bovada but to me it also seems like a bit of a drawback and kind of dumb. ACR (part of the WPN) times me out a lot during hands, seemingly for no reason.

I am trying to grind up a roll on WPN now. I wish I could just move my Carbon balance to WPN and life would be good but I am not so lucky.

To provide another update, as well. A high stakes reg suggested I bug them for the manager's email and see if they would do a western union, cause it worked once for him. I tried and the manager said they'd get back to me. So there is hope, at least, for that.

last little note - I have seen Raszi on Carbon and he's tried to crash my games a few times NICE TRY LEX! I WONT PLAY YOU!

I hope it's not true though, but with all the stuff I've seen in last few years it's not really looking good.

i mean for the last year or so, the highest stakes offered in cash games were 3/6 nl and 10/20 flhe and i think 2/4 plo

all of a sudden they have 5/10 tables and revived players of old, restructured the mid stakes, and micros, to force people into larger games

for the mtts they have failed to meet guarantees because of how they structured their late registration and players giving up on site, so they've raised the stakes but lowered the guarantees for most tourneys.

i agree with some of the changes there, i guess, but the timing of it all is really shady

Ya, still advertising a site in this situation is pretty irresponsible IMO... Sucks whats happening with them and I hope it turns out well for all those involved but until it is resolved I think we should all do as much as possible to deter others from putting money on the site.

Try Americas Cardroom.. they pay quick from my experience.

NMcNasty - can you PM me your Carbon username? If you play any of the games you used to, I think I might have an idea who you are and you might be like one of the few people I avoid in a certain game lol

Also, another update :

Had been pestering support and got to speak to manager. Was told they might do a western union for me. They say they did it, money removed from my account and the pending status, and I get the western union details. Go to pick up the money and I am told there is an issue, contact the sender. I check online when I get home and it shows the money was sent, but then picked up. I did not pick up the money.

I have emailed the manager again asking WTF is going on.

So I came pretty close to actually receiving a payout...still have not
