Forum Changes & Order

Looking for some more input here! We're only trying to make changes that resonate with you guys. If you feel we're doing something that doesn't resonate with the community please let us know because that is our primary concern. Here's what we have come up with as suggested changes to the forum listing on the left.

• Split the General up into two: Sports & Betting as a new forum, and General continues without the Sports & Betting content.
  
• Combine the low/medium/high stakes forums into two: Low Stakes, Midstakes+
  
• Remove Rail Heaven, Tournament Poker, Other Games. If you do have content that would previously have fit into these forums you can now just post it into Main Poker.

This totals going from 8 forums to 6. In terms of Order we had this in mind:

• Poker Blogs
  
• General
  
• Sports & Betting
  
• Main Poker
  
• Low Stakes
  
• Mid Stakes+

let us make the order and hide forums we dont want to see - this way nothing changes and everyone who is interested in particular stakes/type of games can see only what he wants
( just like the left column of the forum - just make it possible to hide even the names )

I agree with all these changes, in fact its long overdue

It should always be the assumption people aren't going to customize so we still need to come up with an ideal first.

(Additionally you can hide them currently already by clicking on the arrow.)

you can already do that, but simply some sub-forums are dead, there isnt highstakes poker anymore etc, this way it seems to me that wont only get rid of clutter it will also increase forum activity in general

I agree it should be the assumption. But being here for couple weeks (at most) is enough to know what do you want to see and what is not interesting for you. So after the new user is used to the forum, the choice to hide completly some stuff would be great.
