He was absolutely terrible had been playing me lower at 100nl hu. This was online not live. He sat 10/20 and challenged me to sit him; said he would transfer me i think it was $350 just to sit not sure might have been less like $200 but either way he didn't pay. Very early in the match I had J10 suited in a 3bet pot. I'm not sure exactly how the flop and turn action went but I played it weak only one bet went in. The pot was already a decent bit of money for me and I think this definitely influenced my decision; just didn't want to lose it. I overbet bluffed all in about 3x pot and pretty much got snapped off by top or 2nd pair mid kicker. lol

Well i do play quite a bit of live coz cant beat online games deheh and your lasts posts stress my points even more though. You are definitely enclined to play over roll, and i don't see any good reasons to not be full stack especially if table is full of fish and if you have 10y of experience.

Can't really move down in live poker lol. And I didn't limp AJ cause I was scared lol I was about to make a move pre and bailed. Also limping AJ of course would lower variance it just might lower winrate too. And if your argument is that by not raising I lose a ton of value because the times I do raise I am likely to just take down the pot then you are wrong. I literally know UTG and he does not limp fold to one raise lol; maybe if I smash it to like 8-10bb but wtf? I could get with you if you are saying I lose value simply because my hand is stronger than their range and I want to raise for value and have them call with worse. There might have been up to 4 limps before me at least 3 including UTG and I fully agree raise is +ev and probably better than whatever I was trying to do but I wasn't taking it down with 3x +1 per limper. I also expressly wrote in the OP that I know pre is a raise and I don't care about that and want to have a useful discussion about the turn on.

Just cause I think it's funny. My boy Paul is 20bb shortstack exploiting the same game my hand took place in as I type this. UTG limps 5, 2 call, Paul makes it 35, UTG jams AK and mini-stacks him.

Just wrong to assume anyone limping is a 2006 donk limp/folding 50%+. Who does that anymore? Even among fish?

Just offering advice on lines which I think are bad/suboptimal. You come back with information withheld saying "utg never limp/folds etc" then we should be jacking this shit up even higher pf to value town the shit out of his weak limp/calling range and eliminated lighter parts of our iso range...

even if they fold less than 20% of the time here it becomes a clear raise. We should be limping behind with weaker hands like Axs or small pps and crush them postflop

eZ Life.

I was never even really trying to argue for or justify preflop; sure it is bad/awful. I was just giving you my reasons for doing it at the time but since I already knew it is bad I didn't want to focus on it. Probably won't happen again - maybe that makes discussing the rest of the hand useless since this exact spot won't happen again. But, I still think the postflop spots are similar to spots we do reasonably run into. Plus I'm just curious what you guys would do in my shoes having found yourself in this spot. That's all- not trying to say I played this well or should be doing this pre. I mean I'm not lying when I said I've limped AJ here once in my life as far as I can remember

i got owned pretty hard limping this actually; had I just raised I most likely end up folding to 3bet and lose 25 instead of 375

Given the info you posted about the way people play those things I think limping back some % of time with a hand like that is perfectly fine. Obv. when you raise it is easier to play.

I wouldn't call when he barrels on the river but I'm a fish

if u raise pre his hand will be more defined esp being oop he would have to 3b and u could fold, almost all poker mistakes come to preflop.
