So far so good. Not liking these "cameo" appearances by all these dead breaking bad people though, (theyre not even playing themselves wtf is this) This thing will definitley pick up in time. "The Rise of Gus Fring" prequel set in Chile is what I hope will materialize in the future.
great interview. Thanks for sharing

Second ep was ok imo. I think in general the scenes feel far too stretched out or thin. Sometimes it's quite good but mostly I just want the scene to end and there to be more to the show for 45 min episodes.

Really enjoyed them. Can't wait for more.
Thing about it being a spin-off of another insanely awesome series is that it automatically makes people pre-judge it and have higher expectations. We're two episodes in and people are already talking about how slow it is.... and considering what's happened, wtf? Expecting Vietnam or some shit? I mean, really.
It's a story about a broke ass lawyer trying to make it. He's not a family man cancer ridden school teacher who turns into a meth cook, psychopath murdering machine.
Since everyones a critic - Only 'issue' (and it's not even really that), I find it kind of cheap of them to bring in characters from breaking bad to 'pump up' the show. I mean, make it an original series or don't. He meets Tuco in the first episode? wtf. It's like they're having trouble separating from their golden baby or something.
Definitely torrenting this show every week. House of Cards, c'monnnnnnnnnn

Consider that what happened could have happened in way less time allowing for more of the plot to develop per 45 min episode. Agree on bringing in old characters, it needs to have it's own legs.

Agreed.
I moreso enjoyed watching his internal dilemma between unethical paydays and morally responsible broke living than watching crazy tuco being crazy again.
Gotta love the soundtrack to some of the scenes too haha.
I laughed inside when I saw he was the manager at some cinnabon "If I'm lucky I'll end up being a manager at a cinnabon in Nebraska!"

Not hooked yet and particularly disliked the Tuco and Mike appearances. Just such a cheap way of drawing Breaking Bad viewers in with a dumb connection.
I will keep watching. I like Saul as a character and Breaking Bad is probably my favorite series of all time. It likely gets better over time.

Seeing as how Saul was largely Breaking Bad's comic relief, it's natural that this show is less serious and more about entertainment (exemplified by the break the legs scene), but also ultimately quite a bit less good.
enjoyed the first two episodes and will keep on watching, but mostly just because I really enjoy watching Saul go on epic rants. Frankly, that's what has been missing so far. I get how the tuco and mike appearances can annoy people, but to me I didn't really care. And I can see how Mike's dedication to his old job is what led Saul to hire him in the first place.

Although we're talking about fictional characters and whatnot - I don't think the reason Saul hired Mike was because of his dedication to being a stickler at the booth, ya know?
hahah. Debating what ifs and what nots and whats about a make believe story. Gotta love life

Pretty sure Mike will play a main character in the series later on, it does make sense

I don't mind that I just don't like the random "oh look it's Mike" vibe of the first two episodes. Mike is awesome I'm sure he will play a large part in this series and I look forward to that.

I'm with Naz in that I'm not particularly hooked yet...the first 3 eps have been pretty meh so far to me. I will continue to watch because I just expect Vince Gilligan to make it awesome eventually.
It seems like Mike is breaking into becoming a main/regularly-occurring character after ep 3. He was my favorite character in BB.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
