Good shit man.

You look a little loose with your bench setup, I think just thinking about staying tight/retracting your scapula would help tremendously.

I didn't ever realize anyone on LP lifts. Good to see

You are def on the right track, I like your knees travelling foward on the squat and your DL looks good aswell, but your bench is atrocious.

Here is mine for reference:

High arching of back is optional, however retracting scapulae and using leg drive is not. Get a spotter to hand you the bar on heavier sets, it's impossible to mantain proper position if you have to unrack by yourself.

is that proper form with ur dead lift? u seem to be doing it somewhat properly from beginning till ur standing tall, but then u just hunch over and drop the bar. you doing a modified deadlift or something?

I'm just basically dropping the bar. Im strapped on to it so kinda have to unless i wanna reset my straps everytime. But im not really controling it or anything i just lean slightly with a tight back and basically initiate a drop immediately and go with the bar

ur bench setup is terrible and it seems like u utilize no leg drive

hard to judge others lifts due to retarded angle, i would use narrower stance for dl thou. also LOL @ straps

ye ive struggled with leg drive but I'm trying to be conscious of it and work on it. this was just a real shit day. I had setup with my scapula retracted and planted myself but then when it came time to unrack the bar i couldn't without moving my shoulders. I didnt really have a good setup at all with this power rack tbh. usually I try and get a spotter on bench day but this was 3am and i pissed off one of the few people in the gym that day so decided power rack was the way to go. I posted it anyway because I wanted to show the whole scope of my development right now. I only started benching 2 months ago so I've struggled with it a bit. though this clip is basically the worst session ive ever had for a few reasons

Ideally I wouldn't recommend using straps for deadlifts when you are going for low volume maxes. But if u were trying to bodybuild and were doing 3x8 type workouts with deadlifts then ye definitely use straps for that. People giving me shit for using straps though lol. I just didn't feel up for it on this day so I cheated. And today on my off day I went in and did some forearm work separately. But ye a lot of powerlifters straight rip their hands open when dead lifting sometimes. It's pretty common when ur getting Rly heavy. So... I can't wait til I get to....

yea fukk the ppl that say no straps. this isnt the 90s when it used to be cool to be macho. ur gonna have to live with ur hands and if theyre all torn up thats gonna affect u and u will be judged on it as well. the average person doesnt care about macho stuff anymore since gays and women have more power these days

well the other side of it though is that in powerlifting meets i dont know if any of them allow straps. So training to pull strapless is pretty important if u ever want to compete. which i definitely do eventually so I'm gonna have to pick up the slack on my forearm strength conditioning. u can just get gloves tho they would help i think with saving ur hands. but then not sure if they are allowed either. definitely a lot of benefits for forearm training to do it strapless. tho cons also. bodybuilders usually use straps for everything. really depends on a persons goals.

I use gloves when i go into the 325+ dead lifting zone. and using a that alternating grip. straps seems like a great idea.

I tried dead lifting 400+ without gloves. tore skin off almost immediately. Not recommend!

You should only wear gloves if they match your purse. Never ever wear gloves, they ruin your hands, slip off with heavy weights, and most important, look gay. Also, you should be conditioning your hands to handle heavy loads, I have barely noticeable calluses because I've developed a very thick skin that doesn't rip off at all.

If you are ripping your hands when deadlifting you are not gripping the bar properly.

It's ok to wear straps mostly because you can't deadlift heavy w/o mixed grip, and that might develop a muscle imbalance issue over time. That said, you should be training your grip separatately and practicing strap-off technique for competition.

@RainKhan. Being manly is good, if girls don't like it find feminine ones that do.
