Why depressing oO?

Is there any point in buying stuff, like furniture etc?

Bought like a bathtub and then didn't buy anything else cuz wtf he has a sofa already... Seems a little bit too easy as soon as you can afford one of the depreciated stars you just buy them, then mass sell them which causes their value to tank so then you mass buy them again which makes their value spike etc...... Saw people talk about the character being invited to parties and getting told hsi stuf is out of date (I got that once, but was too busy accumulating $ bills to care) etc but that never happened to me so maybe I played the game wrong?

Anyway, millionaire without a TV in 40 something weeks, could probably be done a lot faster tho.

if you buy furniture someone will tell you a stock will go up, then it goes up 1000% . I dunno if the price is always worth it,, cuz if they tell you cosby is going up and your late game its not really worth it.

OH is that why everytime i went to work I was told to buy a certain stock? I bought all the furniture every opportunity. took 50 weeks about couple more to become millionaire. figured out how to play optimally after several weeks. if it has a - sign buy it, if it went up in value sell. Basically follow that and watch for shit thats super low. cant lose game somewhat fun the first time tho

Definitely a can't lose game. Especially later in the game when you are told what stock will skyrocket and make you a ton of money... Was sort of fun until that happened. Then it just got boring because you were guaranteed to make huge money every week...

Agree, it could have been so much better if you actually had to spread your risk and manage your bankroll. e.g. there will be a major crash where everything goes down, was expecting that tbh

I kept expecting for my character to die from starvation or shoot himself or something since I wasn't doing any of the social aspects of the game ;d
