Villain is randomly clicking buttons playing pretty agro. Random aggro has been killing it and has $1800 and I have $700.

I raise 25 with 55's, three spots away from button. Villain calls on button, SB, BB call obviously.

Flop: KhTh4c ~$100

I bet $70, Villain raises to $200, SB, BB fold.

I think it's entirely possible for him to be raising top pairs this way, but i also think a huge ammount of gutshot/flush draws make up his range.

I am asking how to best play this hand here. With 2 cards left, a myriad of turn/river combos is going to make calling hard. Folding the best hand seems very weak (and suxs to be oop against this fucking retard). I was very heavily contemplating re-raising here to fold out his air. Like or dont like?

If I learned anything in live poker (mostly 5/5 lately), you should fold a LOT. And this one is a perfect example imo.
I mean, you're calling him a retard. Because of that, your judgment is affecting a little. 55 with no sets sux. Raising on position could mean anything really. You're clearly not in the best way to make any money here. Either try playing more in position against him, or simply don't continuate bet.
Edit : Unless you think he can fold any heart, any aces, queens, or jacks and you played this way a few time representing a semi-bluff ? I still think, i'd let the aggro bet himself and see the turn, instead of raising >_<

That's my 2 cents though. Feel free to disregard this advice

Shin-il : Yeah it was very very very good for me too. Rekrul : YOU MOTHER FUCKING FUCKING SON OF A BITCHLast edit: 15/03/2014 08:52

man, i don't play much live but continuing in any way seems crazy spewy to me. i'd almost always check-fold this flop 4-way, and think i'd be even more inclined to do so in this kind of game. re-raising 55 here basically = re-raising any 2.

I know people make larger raises pre live because ppl still call but 25 is too big imo especially with a hand like this where you actually want to see a flop as cheaply as possible and dont mind a bunch of callers because you make most of your money by hitting a set

I hate your pf raise sizing. Your c bet on the flop is 100% spew in almost any live game. You bet this flop with intention of triple barreling often? I highly doubt a c bet 4 way on this board is going to get through very often..even with good reads.

calling the raise is lighting money on fire and if i saw a player doing that in a live game (which i often do) I'm going to assume he's a brain dead fish.

Don't be a brain dead fish!

agree 100%, looking back i was just all caught up in the moment cause of how ridiculously villain was playing. i was in the mindset of not folding any pair to this opponent. i know this is the state most lag poker players want you in. but man this guy....like my play is brain dead fish but this guy. lol.

my plan was to call raise and call the few safe cards on the turn xD, terrible!

even if he has a draw with over-cards he has more equity in the pot than you...55 unimproved is a terrible hand to go to war with even against lagtards

Bet 3 bet folds out a lot more than air in live cash depending on the opponent.

That being said I hate your cbet were you on tilt or something? I don't think I ever cbet here even on tilt.
