new series: True Detective - Page 6

For me people are thinking to much about signs and shit, pls keep in mind that all things that they were showing are from the past, marty saying about" everything under his nose" and people saying that it might be rust - he was sayin about romance with that bitch and wife at home, everything in last ep is current, they met again - nothing matters now, it is simple as that. Only shock will be part played by his father in law - as his daughter seen somewhere rape, and signs - at grandfather`s house obv, maybe video tapes or some shit. For sure gov is involved, ledoux and 2nd fellow were as well, that makes 3, spaghetti monster/grass cutting fucker with scars is also a 4th one - 5th will be marty`s father in law and that is it.

kinda clicheish and happy ending but good final ep. Very solid series it was.

they say season2 will be with totally new characters and landscape. looking forward to it.

The finale was a minor let-down for me...but still a very solid series overall. Hard to live up to the major hype.

haha so whats up with the signs? lol, director just pissed all over audience in my opinion, people were looking at pictures on walls, marty`s daughter theories were pointless ( which is pretty sad!), re-watching the episodes, this is the biggest wank of finales , maybe dexter was worse, i really thought that they are going to come up with something more than fkin freak leaving in an abonded house, with death father and all day raping his own ugly fkin women, cmooon, series was really good, but finale not even close, meeeeeeeeeeh

^agreed. It was alright, but I'm left feeling somewhat disappointed.

yep, I did, because I felt the same,and I hate typical happy endings, Rast was dark, and then became crying fkin faggot, what happened to the guy who was beating the shit out of the people, and breaking them mentally on police station, cmon, such change is good for twilight saga, not True Detective`s finale episode. They gave us nice treat whole time, but they ended it up with empty box. Everyone was expecting some shock , but hey nooo.. guy went to be a carpenter on fkin alaska, cheap Wolverine plot. I would rather see both detectives dying, than this cheesy shit at the end.

Honestly I think the series went down in quality, but still enjoyable.

Felt they did not know how to end the last few episodes.

I don't wanna be banned or burned alive but I kinda agree with suited_mess here. I thought this was the best TV show I've seen. At times I was hoping to bust the Sunday donkaments more quickly so I could go to bed earlier so I could download the new episode first thing in the morning.

However, the ending was truly a disaster, did they randomly decide to change the writers for the last episode?

I am disappointed. Imo this show had the greatest 3 starting episodes and sooo much potential - such good character development, superb acting and writing. And than went downhill... English is not my first language (I did not get all conversations on 100%) and I might have missed something but can you please help:

- wtf is the Yellow King? So much emphasis on this throughout the series but no clarification?
- who did the prisoner (who later killed himself or got killed) called? They tracked it to a phone boot on some weird place and were convinced that he wasn't calling his lawyer. Were the chief sheriff into that?
- wtf is Carcosa? Is it just the shown place where the main villain performed his rituals and killed kids?

You guys have way too high expectations about TV. If I had to choose between chasing the villain for 2-3 seasons or something ( like the mentalist ) or just cutting it down to a few eps and not clarifying all the signs I def choose 2nd scenario. Plus too much boo-hoo about the loose ends that were left. If Season 2 is with the same characters going after the network of sickos they ll have plenty of time to explain everything. Yes the Finale was somewhat rash, but so what. It was obvious from the very beginning that they probably didnt have big enough budget to complete a full normal series season length (16-24eps) considering 2 of the best actors past years are playing in it.
You want a challenge? Go pick up a book - a movie/serie will almost never that to you ( only thing that i felt challenging at any point was "Mr. Nobody" ) and if it does then you're most likely fucked.
