it's looks like an awful call imo. I would have folded to for the 4th bet. I don't know why she didn't.
I'll ask her when i see her. |

having a pair of tits always gives people the extra little attention they are seeking, this is true for poker and StarCraft, not always for the best though, as OP shows. I have to give Rousso credit at least as she is a real woman and didn't get a hole drilled. |

eh, i would bet he's called 4-bets with J6o or something similarly bad at some point. i'm sure it's a rarity for vanessa just like it is for viktor. obviously viktor's way better than vanessa, but besides that i think there's a good amount of people who don't give him action because they don't want to face potential $5-10m swings. |

You guys are missing the point. The point isn't that she called a 4bet pf with J6o. It's that she tried to save face after the call by pretending like she got sucked out or coolered, when in reality she just made a dumb play and was behind the whole time. |

Don't really see a problem with this...
You should be able to muck your hand. Stupid that it got shown. IDK maybe its standard tournament practice? w/e
Also have no qualms with her saving face.. I do that shit, also lie about my hand when i muck, also lie about my hand when ppl fold. deal with it |

right it's nothing that bad, it's just funny that she got herself in a facepalmworthily embarrassing situation by not being aware of the rule that she has to showdown if there was an allin, cause it means she was trying to get away with misleading to save face in a situation where she couldn't have.
also i find it amusing because in 100% of vanessa interviews ive ever read consist of blah blah GAME THEORY AT DUKE blah blah but then she seems to be making several plays that are about as close to GTO as russ hamilton is to an honest person |

Are you saying it would be incorrect to fold to the 4th bet vs a weaker player who's range you have defined?

I hadn't looked at who her opponent was. I do think he's likely outclassed her. But I was asking if given the situation where you're against a a weaker player with a defined range wether or not you think folding is incorrect. Cause i don't see how calling can be profitable even if i can accurately define her (i use her for everyone, I'm not referring to her) range to a tee.

0human0 is one of the top players ....
rousso ... shes never been considered to be a particularly good player and this type of play gives us plenty reason to suspect that statement is true.
she shoulda just open folded her hand.
i doubt isildur would ever show up on this board w/ j6o if the action were the same. no good player would ever do this.
i wish i could play vs her everyday for the rest of my life cuz then id be rich.
i dont think it's a big deal she tried to save face ... i think its showing the cards she held after seeing how she played it that's really embarrassing lol |

We don't know the table dynamic and the dynamic between the two players
However I assume if she is opening as light as J6o that Human0 was likely 3-betting her to death. Instead of tightening up she decided to take matters into her own hands, continue playing the same range just play it more aggressively. She is probably a very good tournament player, I frequently see tourney players level themselves on big cashgames vs online players |

you dont win multiple tournaments by folding, makes sense most tournament pros are overaggro monkeys when playing cashgames and can't fold a hand. |

Vanessa was 3betting and calling a 4bet, not the other way around.
