I think FC Bayern currently is the strongest team in the world.
In German Bundesliga they play like from another planet and destroy everyone.
Their 2-0 2-0 vs Juventus Turin was no surprise to me.
BVB is also very strong this year.
They didnt dominate Bundesliga like in the 2 previous seasons but for the first time they managed to show their potential in championsleague.
And despite having no chance vs FC Bayern they still managed to score a very easy 2nd place

Borussia did very well vs real in group stages. Right now real seem to be in a better phase then when they played in group stage though in fact they seem to be at like a peak in their game CR7 is doing very very well.
Barca is definetely not on their best phase with messi coming off a injury and not playing for a while and barcas defense has been a joke this year although as of recent times the goalie has started to play well. Bayern can definitely pull an upset....
That being said if messi and cristiano ronaldo play well no team in the world beats them imo.

I'm looking very much forward to both matches. I feel if Messi can bring it Barça is still going to be the favourites against Bayern but it's very close. Real Madrid in the knock-out phase should be favourite against Dortmund because of the experience. I think a lot of people underrate Dortmund though based on their performance against Malaga but they underrate Malaga as well. They're a solid team and I still feel that Dortmund outplayed them quite handily. It all depends on if they can close down the counter of Real by playing very compact.
I'm a big fan of german football I kinda feel that the german teams have been pretty unlucky at the final stages in the last years (Bayern got 2nd in the CL 2010 and 2012, German national team got 3rd in Euro 2012, 3rd in WC 2010, 2nd in Euro 2008, 3rd in WC 2006, 2nd in WC 2002 etc.). Both Bayern and Borussia are sick good, so I'm hoping for a german final, it's long due for them to win something.
real pretty solid favourites vs dortmund. (by which I mean like 70-30) dortmund is great, but I feel they're slightly worse than during group stage, and real is significantly better.
barca vs bayern is super close. bayern has seemed stronger so far this season but they haven't actually played any games vs any team at barcelona's level. (of which there are only 3.)
I don't even know what I'm hoping for really. well, definitely hoping for bayern, and I think dortmund is a much "cooler" team than real madrid. but I also think real madrid - bayern is the most deserving final pairing in terms of trophys won in relation to skill over the past 3-4 years.

People saying Dortmund has good chances are delusional. They struggled and luckboxed to beat Malaga (fuck them anyway), and RM is way stronger team. Plus smaller teams are always weared down at the end of seasons cause they have no subs (that's why the always lose on semi finals)
Bayern has the edge, but barza is barza and their style seems to be the best counter to Bayern's style. I'd pick a bet depending on odds.

No one will beat real madrid, they are very strong right now, take the +200 odds ( real to win it all). Actually the order is this ( barca +190), real madrid (+200), bayern ( +275) and dortmund + 600. So if u were to bet on someone take bayern and madrid imo.
What i did is this.. I put 400 usd on real madrid( +200) and 400 on bayern( +275). If madrid wins, i get 1200 in total 400 profit), if bayern wins i get 1500 in total ( 700 in profit)
madrid should be clear favourites for the championship. not because they're better than barcelona or bayern (been better h2h vs barcelona over the last two seasons though), but because they're much more likely to even reach the finals.
if the lines put bayern barcelona and real madrid as equal title contenders then real madrid is the by far best choice.
i think its a clear mistake to still underestimate Dortmund that much.
Thats what Bayern did in the last 2 Seasons...and they lost 5 consecutive matches vs Dortmund because of this.
They lost both games vs Dortmund last year...and made it to the Champions league final.

no it's more like they continued watching football after the group stage matches happened. and they realize that dortmund is currently not on the level they were during those matches, and they realize that real madrid is currently on a much higher level than during group stage matches.
and real didn't get their ass handed to them even then. they tied one game and lost one really close and even game 2-1. those two matches were absolutely fantastic btw, prolly some of the best football that has been played all season by any teams anywhere.
also, for the comment about english teams; manchester united has been on the level as the 4 remaining teams all season, but they were knocked out on away goals by real madrid in the previous round. (after what some would define as somewhat of a robbery by the referee, and what others, including real madric coach jose mourinho, would define as luck. I personally think they were just about equally good over both matches and then one team has to advance. ) other than that, premier league has been lagging behind though.

FC Bayern just bought Mario Götze for 37million yesterday ..... He will continue to play for Dortmund the last 4 Games in Bundesliga and also in Championsleague and after that play for FC Bayern.

I agree with Drone, Real Madrid has an easier path and should be seen as a favorite to win the whole thing because of that.
With that said, I think both Bayern and Barcelona are better. However, Real seems to have the upper hand against Barcelona (recent games indicates this).
Dortmund had an even series against Real in the group stage, people saying they 'crushed' them have a memory bias. But Real was a bit out of shape while Dortmund peaked, while it's inverted now.
PL is a bit behind, but United is among the top 4, and they were a bit better than Real in the quarters (perfectly coached by Ferguson).
Very excited about tonights game. Feels like anything can happen. Barcelona in their best shape is the best team, but nothing indicates they are close to that. Messi not played for a while, semi-injured. The defense is horrible. Pique has been bad all season, and now Bartra takes place beside him. Xavi has been a bit to "safe" in his plays. Thank god Iniesta still plays amazingly.
Bayern so strong lol, i expected a hard fought home win but 4-0 vs Barca is ridic. Im happy though Bayern needs to win the CL too much bad luck past few seasons.
Bayern deserved to win but two goals shouldve been disallowed.. then again they shouldve been awarded probably one penalty. I hope Dortmund assrape Madrid tomorrow... if not I know theyll get their share of German steel up there assholes in the finals.

Without defense it is very very hard to win CL. If Juve had two good strikers they had a REALLY good chance of wining it. Hopefully next year Juve will sign up two world class strikers and we will have a go at it again. Barca and Real defense is TOTAL shit. I have never seen world class teams concede goals. It is still beyond me why Barca missed the summer and jan to sign a decent defender. Even a player like Davide Astori in Cagliari is better than their CBs.
Come back for Barca is much harder than Real for obv reasons. But I also see Bayern dropping the ball more than I see BVB doing that. Arsenal game was a perfect example just few weeks ago.

Strikers are not that important anymore unless they are extremely good( dont even envision Messi and CR cause they are above the level of anyone ) . Midfielders do all the job basically. Bayern did beat Dortmund this season in the german cup and in both regular games iirc(one might have ended draw not sure).

Bayern scored 2 out of 4 goals with an offside and a foul and a 3rd one is 50%-50% legit, yeah there should've been one penalty for them, but overall they didnt deserve more than 2-0 and in the end they still didnt have as much possesion as Barca. Italian clubs are known for their defense and taking on counter attacks as their primary weapon. Juve is def not even a top5 team in the world right now. Bayern deserve the title tbh considering their past couple of years, this year and so on, but they did not deserve such a hardcore win. All of those top 4 teams that r left in the CL rely highly on their midlanes, the second their midlane fails all of Messi, Ronaldo, Muller and Lewandowski have to work 500% more to do what they usually do
If Real had played at least a whole half like they played the last 15mins they would've 100% gone through to the final. Too bad Lewandowski didnt score that was such a beautiful shot. I am not a professional player, but I know the game pretty well. Pay attention to Ramos in the last 5-10min. I guarantee you that BVB would have MURDER Madrid have they played like that for an entire half (or even 20min). You can not have your CB's pushing so high up on the pitch for 45min. Specially if the other team got ppl like Lewan or Gotze. You will get punished so bad. The last 5min of the game is OK to do it, cause the other team mentality is on defending with 10 men and they all come back to basically seal the deal and also everyone got tired legs at that point.
I rank Juve very highly, but not because I am fan, because they follow tactic very well. Juve currently is below Madrid and Barca and Bayern. But its not by much. With two solid forwards I actually think its a 50-50 game vs any of the top team. Italian teams are deadly when they play top teams. Game won't be a pretty game, but it will be close result. So Juve with a player like Balotelli, Aguero etc. Can grind a 1-0 win against ANY team. It won't be pretty, but it will be a good game.

And its the same tactic of Celtic, Real, Inter (2010) etc. You give them the ball and let them have it and make 1,390,854 passes inside their own half or even in the middle third of the pitch. But you defend tactically in the final 3rd and leave no room for Messi and Co to run behind ur midfield or defense. Anything else is just setting yourself up for a total disaster.

Althought Barcelona got pretty much humilliated by Bayern im happy with what they've done this year. They beat the record of 1st half season in Primera Division, Messi beat the record in consquetive goals there too. Tito Vilanova was diagnosed with cancer and he was missing for like 4 months if not more and they still managed to even get to the semi finals of CL, even thought the referees were definitely cutting them off. Yeah their defense is shit, excluding Messi the attacking part is kinda so-so, Pedro had a semi good season, Villa is far from what he used to be and Sanchez is pure shit, made one good season and now he is completely useless. Tito is back now, they ll make a good summer selection and they ll be back on track in the next season
Bayern and Borussia both 10000% deserve to be in the finals more than the El Clasico and whoever wins is whatever for me. However i personally prefer Dortmund as Bayern bought their considered best player right before the final ....

The teams playing Barca successfully are clearly not defending with the final 3rd. They do put a lot of pressure on Barca's midield player, they are not just waiting for them.
Barca's performance relies on Messi but Spain team does not include Messi and this is actually the best national team. I think that Barcelona has to change his tactics. Opponents now know how to adjust while Barca does not adapt his tactis to the opponent team.
Quite happy with the results as teams playing the best football won.

They didnt lose strategically - they just got ran over cause of the reasons above. Their strategy is high risk - maximum profit, however when you lack the players needed to execute it it goes to the other extreme. Thats why i love this club, they ran over everyone pretty much without any defense and it took other teams years to adjust and now when a couple of imporant people are injured and others just got back from injury and are not in their best psychical shape it shows how bad their defense and goalkeeper is... its a part of the risk

Barcelona needs to stop being stupid. Playing Mascherano or Song as a CB is not really a good idea. Pique is a total disaster sometimes. Puyol is the only solid guy but with all due respect I think his days are gone. His injury pattern is a sign that its time to move on. They need players in the defense who have experience, can hold on to the ball, pass it around like a midfilder but also be a specialist defender. It is a hard combo but its not impossible. A player like Bonucci is a good example (even though from time to time he used to do disastrous things but he is much much better now). Chiellini is another good example. Thiago Sliva is another great example. Kompany is soldi too. It is very very hard to win knockout games vs top teams without a solid D.
Look at Barca line up. Their midfield is the best in the world. Their forwards are also among the very very best. Then in the back they have Alvez who plays more as a winger and usually is no where to be found when they get caught out, Pique who is a total disaster, Mascherano who have become a specialist in scoring own goals. Song who is lost as CB. Bartra who has like 5 games in top tier. Abidel who is coming back from serious illness. Jordi Alba is the only solid one. They should do a massive overhaul in the back. What bothers me is that they should have done this 12 month ago and they had TWO chance at it and they were very very stubborn and didn't do it and u saw the result of that past 2 weeks.

Imo language can be a key factor. It may have a low impact on how they interact on the field, but it does have in their daily life. Often that can explain the bad integration of a player in a group. So it's easier for a spanish speaker to go to Barca than in a german team.
But I don't see any difference between spanish or german in that case, ie why it would not be symmetrical. And if Barca having more spanish player can be explained by the fact they have a very high quality formation center, where players enter very young. And they recruit few expensive, well developed players from other countries.
About examples, yep, PSG players are hired guns. And if they don't play so well collectively, it has more to do with their attitude (hired guns players) then language barrier.

Robben only started to play regularly for Bayern after Kroos got injured mid-season.
Mandzukic who replaced Gomez(another german that made a lot of goals last season) in most games is more of a team player and not a scorer...i think he only made 3 goals in the whole CL season.
Kroos did a lot of assists and some goals until his injury and is still extremely young.Müller btw is only 23 as well.
So its not only Dortmund that got those young and refreshing players from Germany ...and götze is heading to bayern now anyway.

The point is that if a player has to fit in a squad they have to be able to speak the language of the team so they can constantly communicate with their team mates, coach, staff on the pitch and in the dressing room.
