Althought Barcelona got pretty much humilliated by Bayern im happy with what they've done this year. They beat the record of 1st half season in Primera Division, Messi beat the record in consquetive goals there too. Tito Vilanova was diagnosed with cancer and he was missing for like 4 months if not more and they still managed to even get to the semi finals of CL, even thought the referees were definitely cutting them off. Yeah their defense is shit, excluding Messi the attacking part is kinda so-so, Pedro had a semi good season, Villa is far from what he used to be and Sanchez is pure shit, made one good season and now he is completely useless. Tito is back now, they ll make a good summer selection and they ll be back on track in the next season
Bayern and Borussia both 10000% deserve to be in the finals more than the El Clasico and whoever wins is whatever for me. However i personally prefer Dortmund as Bayern bought their considered best player right before the final ....
bottom line is the only won la liga which is a 2 team tournament 93% of the time according to neilly.
winning la liga for barça or madrid is like winning a clay tournament for nadal

Barcelona doesnt have to change shit, what they need is a couple of new players, sell people like Sanchez, Valdes and either give a chance to people like Song or sell em too and recovery of all injuries and then Vilanova staying healthy hopefully. They didnt lose strategically - they just got ran over cause of the reasons above. Their strategy is high risk - maximum profit, however when you lack the players needed to execute it it goes to the other extreme. Thats why i love this club, they ran over everyone pretty much without any defense and it took other teams years to adjust and now when a couple of imporant people are injured and others just got back from injury and are not in their best psychical shape it shows how bad their defense and goalkeeper is... its a part of the risk

Barcelona needs to stop being stupid. Playing Mascherano or Song as a CB is not really a good idea. Pique is a total disaster sometimes. Puyol is the only solid guy but with all due respect I think his days are gone. His injury pattern is a sign that its time to move on. They need players in the defense who have experience, can hold on to the ball, pass it around like a midfilder but also be a specialist defender. It is a hard combo but its not impossible. A player like Bonucci is a good example (even though from time to time he used to do disastrous things but he is much much better now). Chiellini is another good example. Thiago Sliva is another great example. Kompany is soldi too. It is very very hard to win knockout games vs top teams without a solid D.
Look at Barca line up. Their midfield is the best in the world. Their forwards are also among the very very best. Then in the back they have Alvez who plays more as a winger and usually is no where to be found when they get caught out, Pique who is a total disaster, Mascherano who have become a specialist in scoring own goals. Song who is lost as CB. Bartra who has like 5 games in top tier. Abidel who is coming back from serious illness. Jordi Alba is the only solid one. They should do a massive overhaul in the back. What bothers me is that they should have done this 12 month ago and they had TWO chance at it and they were very very stubborn and didn't do it and u saw the result of that past 2 weeks.
