they put Bubba vs Smith in the main card... really? Samman vs Casey would be 5x better fight as long as Casey actually can sustain the cardio this time...

^ Other people have said Samman has good cardio, and that Casey has kidney problems and gases cuz of it.
If its the kidney failure problem he had in TUF that is not as serious as it looks and it does not reflect on your cardio by that much as long as you are really training. I've already had a few of those cases and if its gone to a such serious level that he cant go through 3 rounds even after actually training like a professional then his health risks are way too high to be even fighting
I was also hoping to see Sonnen vs Jones (althought jones will probably beat the shit out of him ) but meh they put it @ 27th so TUF fans like me that dont follow the UFC that much would have to watch that event as well and hopefully get hooked on it. Well played marketing
I think Kevin will put up more of a fight vs Hall then most ppl expect. A "in you face" wrestler with decent grappling who tends to wing punches and put his head down to get the take down seems like a fairly good blueprint to beat Hall. Hall should be the favourite though.
Zingano is very good but I think Tate will beat her. Tate seems like the Faber of WMMA. Loses to champions, wins against anything else.
Brown should knock Gonzaga out but both are hit or miss so hard to predict.
I really hope Smith beats Bubbas ass but that seems like it's set up to give Bubba more fights. No idea why, guy is boring as hell and not even close to UFC level considering his age and general lack of mental strength.
On the preliminary card I think Samman beats Casy easy, other then that I'll just enjoy the fights. Hester is getting screwed over, first he did not get the wildcard and now he has to fight a boring as wrestler who tends to spoil parties. I don't give much of a crap about the other fights, even though I like Miller.

I'm not in the Uriah Hall bandwagon
I think he is cool and I like to watch him fight, and it's pretty nice when a guy who can throw spinning shit and KO people with it, win fights
but honestly I'm not amused with him, he wasn't having an easy fight vs Adam Cella until he got the KO
Bubba lost the fight before the fight, and Andrews went to the fight in fucking turtle mode, he tried to punch Uriah like 6 times the whole fight wtf ?
his ground game seems to be amateur level, and his TDD is not good, he was taken down in almost every fight in TUF
I really like his spirit, personality and obv his style to fight, so I'm cheering for him to win and work his game up
betting wise, I was hoping for better odds to bet in Gastelum because of the Uriah's hype, but I'm still putting money in Kelvin @ +325
From what happened in TUF Kelvin is nowhere near close to beating Uriah. Even if he gets him to the ground and keeps him there which i very much doubt, it will be extremely hard to control him. Look at how dylan gave him an opening for a split second and Uriah just destroyed him from the bottom. Besides Kelvin rarely lands hard hits even when he controls his opponent on the ground. Im guessing best case scenario he s winning one round. Only way he can win this is by some kind of a sucker punch or something, but im guessing Uriah will catch him with a flying knee or smtng like that while Kelvin tries to KD him.
Plus wrestling is fucking boring - no wonder they threw it out of the next olympics so I d hate to see another wrestler with a long contract no matter how good he is
Uriah totally looks like the black Ken or Ryu from Street Fighter
Hall looks amazing when doing switch kicks, 360s and shit but middleweight ufc is very tough having experience with Silva that he will get beaten easily by any top 5 guys - he's also too flatfooted and reckless no wonder Weidman ktfo'ed him
Urijah Faber in a parlay (-476)
Gastelum (+255)
Miesha Tate +102 (maybe parlay with faber)
Daniel Pineda at -111 (I think he is way better than Lawrence but I am not that sure)
Gabriel Gonzaga (+220)
Urijah Faber
Uriah Hall
Travis Browne
Cat Zingano
Josh Samman
Jimmy Quinlan
Colin Hart
Clint Hester
Main Parlay:
Faber, Hall, Browne, Samman gets you 1.5 to 1. I just don't see any of these 4 losing.

I don't like it. Too many close fights in it.
Hall is supposed to win.
Tate's fight will be close, and I'm picking Zingano to win.
I'm picking Pineda to win, but his opponent has better technical striking, while Pineda has decent hands and better subs.
Gonzaga is expected to lose, and he has terrible cardio these days.
I think there might be some value in Casey at (+400). I think he has something to prove losing 2 fights in TUF. Also, Samman's ground game does not look good and Casey is a good grappler. If he can get Josh to the ground he can take the fight. Casey at (+300 - 330) would have been where I put him.
Got small bets on Gastelum, Tate (for even money, thought line would be different even though I consider Zingano very, very good) and Marunde. Happy about first and last, unsure about the Tate over Zingano bet but I really feel Tate is more proven and very talented.

I make a parlay in Faber and Hall and small bets on Gilbert Smith and Gabriel Gonzaga.
My parlays are mostly long shots, so I don't expect many of them to win.
Also, I'll be adding a bigger Cat Zingano bet later on, as soon as I feel her line is at its best.

I think nerves got to Cat in the first 2 rounds, but definitely the first round. She was getting taken down to easily and was getting tagged too. Cat turned it on in round 3 when she felt like she had to win now or else lose by decision.

rofl... This better not get FOTN... So much sadness from Hall, and Gastelum at least brought it but just doesn't have what it takes to impress anyone imo.
If Hall loses, good. He tried to be Anderson Silva the entire fight.

What, no he isn't. If anything this fight proved that he isn't bad on the ground.

I'm shocked everything agrees with the judging. I thought Hall won round 3.... sorry but Hall landed more from the bottom than Kelvin did the top, and Hall also reversed a TD, got on top, and reigned a few good strikes. While they were on their feet, Hall landed the only clean strikes.... I agree he fought a terrible fight for what he is capable of and only has himself to blame but I swear people are so obsessed with body position it doesn't mean shit if you aren't doing any damage or putting the other guy in any sort of danger. Good for the one judge who scored it for Hall.

This makes sense why Cat didn't turn it on until round 3. She usually turns it on during all 3 rounds.
