I think a more shocking headline would be Gus Hansen +1.7 mill at any point |

In March Isildur1 would have been up 4mil instead of 2mil if that wasn't for the last week where he lost a bunch playing bttech86 (-800k but bttech86 was running 1.1mil above EV as the article from HSDB stated) and also quite some at HU NLHE CAP (500/$1,000) against SanIker.
SanIker also said he was running 850k above EV against Isildur1 since they have been playing each other at HU NLHE. You can find his post here
Also lost some more at O8 vs PostFlopAction and others.
Now Isildur1 is back again almost at his peak (when he had a major +6mil rush in Jan). +4mil lifetime of FTP (while he was at -2mil when FTP re-opened). |

Isi saw that, and said to himself, sht only I can draw like mofo, ezz money, lets play,
and then boom - Ben is thinking - new kind of a gutshot is not hitting as much as the old one, sigh! 1.7 is gone

The overfull is the new gutshot. |

Regular Headlines for Gus is -1.7mil
Poor guy is -9 mill lifetime now... He lost 6 mil since FTP re-opened

|
If I read this graph right, Gus has pretty much never been a winning player ? |

at the start of FTP, gus was a fish for a long time. he was too loose, too splashy, too cally, and just lost. after a couple of years everything clicked for him and he somehow became the biggest winner in the cap PLO games. he just figured it all out and murdered everyone. ftp went down, he didnt play that game for a couple years, ftp came back and he sucked worse than he did in the beginning. guy has no game selection and probably still thinks he can do what he did in late 2010 early 2011 and is just getting destroyed in PLO/deuce/everything |
Where's he getting the money to keep giving away? |
From what I've read (ONLY read so it doesn't mean all of it is true):
- Gus Hansen sold Poker champ website around 2005 or later for $15,000,000
- Was/Is a "world class" backgammon player (prior to playing poker) and rumored to have made shit loads of money playing it. But again, nobody knows how much he made from it but just as an example, I remember Gus Hansen didn't show up for the final day of the EPT Monte Carlo High Roller Event (25k buy-in) while he was still in because he was playing some rich russian at backgammon and was up 2mil+ against him.
- Obviously getting some moneyz for years from FTP since he had shares
- He had a +6mil upswing rush when black friday hit. So logically when FTP re-opened I assume he got his hands back on these 6mil$ |

Hopefully he's been persuaded to stick a couple of milly away to set himself up with a good baseline for the rest of his life, and then go bananas from there. Probably not the case though lol |

no, he lost 1.7m, came back after more than 24hours and won 1.5m back, so overall still stuck 200k. |
