Arlovski has looked decent lately and while I still wouldn't trust him to stand up against a stiff breeze it would seem like Johnson is a fairly good match up for him.

Moraes vs Nam will be fun, hard to tell, I feel that both might be overhyped but I'm not sure. Hard to tell.

Branch and Filho is battle of the under archivers. Branch has solid BJJ but gets beaten by anyone who's good and Filho is just Filho. Going with Branch.

I think Simpson should take Burkman even though the latter has been on a roll lately. Unless Simpson is finally getting old, in that case he'll have a long night. Burkman is no joke.

The only thing I'm worried about from Johnson is his fast and hard left high kick. That might be the difference in this fight. I do think it will be a decent though.

Also, I'd take Johnson if he fought Vitor at 205. Dumb kid gassed in their first fight.

Watching that promo made me feel like Arlovski will take it. He seems hungrier.

only arlovski fight ive watched recently was the sylvia one. he looked good offensively but his defense was not great. looked a bit slow with movement, hittable, and was getting beat up in the clinch by timmay. ive never been much of an AJ fan, always thought he was only good because of his physical size at 170 and that his wrestling skills were ok and his striking was pretty basic predictable combinations that beat up medicore guys, but he has the power and arlovski has the lack of chin to make me worry. rooting for AA and really hope he doesnt get KOed again

Depends who you talk to. I don't think his chin is bad, he's just ran into some heavy hitters while retreating backward in a straight line, which will suck when you run out of room and have to face the bombs that will get unleashed by the other guy who now has you where he wants you, like in his fight vs. Kharitonov. He took multiple shots, he didn't just get owned by 1 big one.

He also took multiple clean shots from Sylvia and was okay.

AA's speed is what I'm worried about, cuz AJ has a nasty left high kick that can KO anyone.

When thinking of Arlovski vs Johnson, I was thinking Arlovski would just be too tall for him and would just pepper him with shots from the outside and avoid rushes because the huge reach disadvantage. Then I looked up the stats and Johnson has a fucking 1 inch reach advantage lol.

Arlovski has a lot of KO losses, but for the most part they are against guys who hit hard as fuck for heavyweights. So his chin might hold up against Johnson.

The odds reflect how I feel about this fight, pretty close to a flip.

I didn't make the Bellator 93 thread cuz I was hella busy this week with school and forgot.

The card didn't have any big names on it, but all of the fights, except one, ended in finishes.

It was also a good night for betting, as all the people who were supposed to win, won. The bookies, or maybe it was the bettors, had the lines going back and forth and the smart bettors were able to make some nice money off of Ryan Martinez and Dave Jansen.

Also, if you're going to bet on WSOF, you can wait and get Arlovski at plus odds, since the line keeps fluctuating with AJ being the favorite. I was able to get Arlovski at +140 the other day.

aj has the worst cardio in all of mma

his cardio is not too bad, it's that he throws all his strikes with 100% effort, most fighters like that would gas by the end of the 2nd round fighting like that

Holy shit how do you continue fighting with a broken jaw for 2 rounds? Arlovski is tough... Im surprised his corner or the ref didnt stop it for him tho.

I just saw the fight hightlight and i was going to say how Arlovsky is done with MMA but they didnt mention he fought 2 rounds with a broken jaw.. god damn.

^ His fight vs. Anthony Johnson proved to any doubters that he has a chin. That's the worst fight to watch and then say "he has no chin."

Johnson broke his jaw in round 1, then Arlovski fought to a decision with a broken jaw and missing teeth.

Tim Sylvia touched his chin plenty of times in their most recent fight, and it held up. It was his style of fighting that got him in trouble and allowed him to get caught by big shots from heavy hitters like Fedor/Rogers/Kharitonov, who could have knocked anyone out in the heavyweight division if they were fighting guys who would retreat backward in a straight line or do a random jump knee at the wrong time.

meh. Rumble fought welter weight his whole career. If a real heavyweight touches arlovskis chin.. he goes down instantly. Even brett rogers who has pillow fists blew him up.

I hear all the time from different guys that Arlovskis chin is not so bad cause in the fights he got knocked out or almost knocked out he took some punches to the chin.....
Fact is arlovski almost got knocked out again.

OFC he is a fighter and therefore he can take some degree of punishment to the chin.
If he really had a glas chin like some 16 year old skinny dude he wouldnt be a fighter

But compared to the other Top fighters his chin is significantly weaker !
And i am not talking abut guys like Mark Hunt or lets say Tyrone Spong
I am talking about the average UFC Fighter.

Arlovski can take a punch or two....
Arlovski cant take a hard punch that hits good no matter who the other fighter is
Most other fighters can even take 1-2 really hard punches to the chin (thrown by an average UFC fighter) before they even get in real trouble.
