She's not pregnant (in the books), because her mother (who is obviously let in on the plot of Tywin Lannister / Roose Bolton / Walder Frey in the books) secretly brews her moon tea, which is the birth control pill of the age (quite effective, too). I was actually surprised that Robb's wife is pregnant, but now that she got killed off it kinda makes sense, just another loose end (in the books) that won't need cutting in the series.

It's actually not that major of a change from the books because the characters left out really don't make much of a difference (but imho they add just the little extra color that makes GRRM stand out. Understandable that not all of that can be put on TV however). And yet, I still prefer the original version (obviously). I just find it more plausible that Robb suddenly fell for an obscure, once powerful (in name) house's maiden daughter when he found out that his brothers supposedly died, fucked her and married her because that's honorable, than him falling for the hots of some commoner from Essos. Just a lot more fitting for his character.

I guess that is also why I prefer the book over the series by a vast margin. Some of the minor detail changes (and added scenes) are ill-fitting and out of character.

I agree, but I'll add or elaborate on one of your points.

By cutting off a loose end through the TV series, I no longer make conspiracy theories about Robb's wife and a secret chance of prenency etc.

Many things were still kinda "dafuq" in the episode:
Caitlyn was standing right next to Walder Frey and couldve easily stabbed him before getting 10 arrows in her back and even so considering the amount of rage she had it was somehow unlogical not to try
Wildlings indeed have like 20 men and noone is sent to the tower? In the book the tower is surrounded by water and there s no bridge just a hidden tight passage through going around in circles in the water and its raining heavily so even if someone started walkng through it they d prolly drown... Here however they r liek "harrrr we r going on a secret mission beyond the wall to kill all dem crows and must really not be seen, but no dont check that tower nevermind it ll take like 15s and could cost us a potentinal snitch hiding in there... there must be at least 550 of us to kill that old man "

I read someones breakdown of the books vs. the seasons of the show. Season 3 finale makes more sense now.

Yeah thought it might be in season finale. Would've been epic but if that happened you'd have to include a lot of other stuff that isn't going to happen till next season unfortunately

Oh hell ya we will. Anyways, that last episode was pretty anticlimactic. I understand they're breaking up the books now cuz there's simply too much happening to pack it all into 10 episodes, but man. Would have been smarter if they had made the red wedding the season finale
