Well it's memorial day weekend, and both times last year on memorial day weekend their ratings took a pretty big dive. Everyones out BBQing and having fun etc.

Preserving the characters and having good actors portray that character well is far more important to me
than casting a man with some ludicrous beard for the "fun" of accuracies.
That actor absolutely nails Daario imo.

Yea, they did that with a lot of characters though. I mean Tyrion should look way gnarlier for example, lol. Tywin should be bald, Missandei should be a little girl etc. And to be fair, Daario's grooming regime is pretty ridiculous ^^.

So 4 more seasons after this one. Book 4 and 5 have a lot of overlap I guess, so are not distinct parts in time, so if they can somehow compress that, it should work out with books 6 and 7. Fwiw, there should be 10 seasons, but I'm not sure the public would even want to see that. People here are already complaining that the pace is too slow.

Well I guess I wasn't really accusing you of anything, just commenting on what you said. It would be pretty epic if everything was exactly like it is in the book though. Fwiw, that's probably too intense for television though plus they don't have the budget for that I think. I mean am I the only one that feels they are constantly trying to manage their budget?
I think GoT is just too big for television and film, at least given our current technological advancement. Total Recall Game of Thrones style anyone?

What I really hope is GoT doesnt get cancelled, because its the only thing pushing RR Martin to write the last 2 books, otherwise he ll end up not finishing the storyline at all. I also dont want a scenario as in the "Wheel of time" having another author finish the story

Hmm, I am not sure about that. I don't remember all the details from reading the book and I read them on Kindle so it's not that easy to just flip through the pages to find certain things, but I think when Drogo is hitting hit she is 13-14 and where we are in the series now she is around 16. I mean there is almost no way she is 12 where she is in the series now.
