Don't season finales generally blow the viewers mind? Considering the lack of action this season, it would only make sense if there was some intense action scene in the final episode, or something that leaves us saying "holy shit!," otherwise known as blowing our mind.
I really hope the show doesnt end up getting cancelled in like 4th-5th season so R R Martin wont be forced to write the last 2 books asap and just dodge till he dies

Apparently the 'last' book is going to be at *least* two more. By the time he's on his 7th, I'm guessing he'll realise he needs to do another couple books - as you said, just to tie up the loose ends.
I'm thinking he's never going to finish this series. I mean, it's been his baby for what... 15 years? Imagine how hard it would be to walk away from something like that. We should get an online petition going asking him to get his ass into better shape so he can keep wowing us for years to come (as opposed to dying of a heart-attack)

He already said that if he dies no one is going to finish the books.

Meh, he's only 64. Should make it through the last two books. Also his pace should increase somewhat seeing as he probably has signed some sort of deal with HBO to finish the story within some time frame. Worst case scenario, the HBO writers can finish the story, which wouldn't be that bad seeing as they have already interpreted some things differently in the show.
I'm also not a fan of Daenerys's acting. I feel like in the books George is just writing a huge tangent for her so he can work on the characters in Westeros (and elsewhere...). I think it's the sort of thing that happens when you make things up as you go. Not sure how well he mapped out the entire story before hand, but it's quite complex so even if he did this could still happen.
Anyway what I didn't like about Daeny's acting in the last epsiode was that she seemed to have this sadistic smile about her and I'm not sure that's how her character was intended in the book (though it wouldn't be unbefitting for a Tagaryen, maybe that's the angle the TV writers are going for). She's not a cruel character. I would have like to see some more genuine anger and disgust, it's like she's just fucking the slavers up for fun and being a bitch to everyone lol. Tbh, it might also just be a hard role to play, however if something is off with her character, the directors are also to blame somewhat as they are there to judge how a scene comes across as a whole. It's like the scene at the beginning with Rob and his wife. Those two scenes seemed a little off to me. Acting was poor/they just didn't feel right, though the first one was clearly worse to me.
