It is more similar, as it is an "undeserved" win due to luck. Etiquette in tennis in that situation is that the winner of the ball apologises with a raised hand. "Sorry for stealing the ball." Maybe something similar is appropriate here?

Most definitely. You would never say "nice try" or "good shot" (lol) after your opponent loses the round due to a net ball.

Dealer is 100% out of line.

First of all you yourself don't have to be manner with other players at the table, being a bit verbal offensive cause others to play worse with you. Second i wonder how come u didn't insta say that nerdy card dealer to stfu and gtfo. I have heard in EU and US u're getting blacklisted for those behaviours, but its not a problem because there are casinos left and right...

I'm pretty sure I'd tell the dealer to stfu and deal as that is their job. In all seriousness, the other player gets it, you get it, the fucking dealer needs to deal.

i don't think it's right to say NH in this spot but the dealer was completely out of line. you probably should've said something to a floor manager or something when you were leaving

dealer is there to deal the cards and make casual conversation, not berate people who don't adhere to his interpretation of table etiquette

most dealers are fucking retarded idiots.

well, not most, but like a few % of them are.

tonight, i had a dealer REFUSE to count down a players chips for me, i called floor, they yelled at him, and made him count down the stack.

was a 60 year old guy too, got so angry at him for being such an asshole in such a nice event (BPC) - went on tilt and lost alot of chips after that shit too.

These guys need to realize 2 things.

A) without poker - they don't have a job.
B) Do there job right with a smile on there face, or get fcking replaced, its a great job for most people, and something most ppl are capable of.

I have problems with so many dealers its ridiculous, but then again, theres people like Quocy04 (from lP) and Danny Tao (wsop dealer) who are just 100% class act great people.

idk, i dislike most dealers, but still tip em if they are doing there job well.

just stay in line and don't worry about shit, play ur game, say NICE HAND, who cares, its POKER, you want to slightly needle people without being out of line, thats a great way to do it, especially when they have a lot of chips behind. The more you do it, the more agitated many players become.

thats my take on it,
Ryan

what you said is slightly donkish

But I would destroy the dealer being in your spot. I mean he would either apologize or be silent and listen to what I say to him or he would have a problem at work before he gets exchanged.

Trust me, I am a poker player.

i like the dealers that help people feel relaxed and have fun. i find that loosens up the table and gets everyone to have fun (at least at the borgata in AC).

and fwiw neilly isnt wrong about danny tao. classy, fun guy. same with quoc

yeah, you say nh when someone beats you not when you win.

Although obviously dealer way out of line, he's just being a bully and picking on you because he knows you wont fight back

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets

For starters you are saying it wrong. Replace every instance where you describe a suckout using the word "out" with the word "off" instead. Anyway yeah it seems kinda funny to say nice hand to the guy who lost. I've only complimented a losing hand when it's something like I see his hand, but before the board is dealt since I'm basically expecting to lose. You know, as soon as he flips up QQ I'm like "ouch, nice hand".

Pretty much. Basically, if you're going to say nice hand to compliment someone say it before the cards are dealt.

Dealer is out of line though.

dealer should stfu but on the other hand the winner should never say gg before the loser so if he's quiet you should be as well and just stack ur chips without sayint anything.. I don't think it was way out of line, but it's kind of retarded thing to do and it always cause bad feelings instead of good feelings
