My thoughts are that PS wanted to compete with FTP for highstakes games and hired Isildur1 to do it (+ the buzz of not knowing who he was at the time). Now that FTP has been gone and them taking over FTP now, they don't really need to compete in the "highstakes arena" with anyone anymore.
Also, Isildur1 is not in the strategy of the poker rooms at the moment because they are more looking for fishes then grinders. Nobody knows Isildur1 apart from poker players so he isn't really a marketing tool to attract the casual players/new player. The rooms are trying to keep their players (fishes) away from the high stakes tables since they generate more rake/go busto slower at lower stakes. So pushing high stakes tables is not in the poker rooms interests (reason why Partypoker completly cut their high stakes tables).
On top of that it is pretty common knowledge that isildur1 doesn't like the media and all the attention. So all in all, I think it was in both parties interest not to continue their deal.
I can be completely off tough but I think that's one of the reasons. |
