someone clearly doesn't understand how an eagle thinks
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

dam he was a true hero to poker. i wonder how long we will have to wait for the next person to come along and 9 table kanu, jungleman and sauce all at the same time.
he says he just wants to concentrate on poker, so it sounds like we may actually see more of this than we have been. Otherwise his time was occupied with a bunch of travelling to EPTs and media obligations which I guess might be something he's now tired of doing
3 days of non stop poker... indeed, he is not going to stop !

I doubt they hired him with the thoughts of him being directly profitable investition, however I doubt there will soon be a better guy to use for commercial purposes for online poker than him. And yeah you r most likely right, but its a bad move from PS imo. Plus considering his age I doubt he indeed finds the constant trips & press attention worth his time rather than actually doing something he loves
They hired him when FTP was still around. After he came they had a lot more nosebleed action than before. Then FTP closed. Now they need him much less. As mentioned, probably they offered him other terms for a new deal and he refused.
He is the biggest name in online poker, SuperStars showdowns created massive traffic and brought a ton of railbirds, no way they would drop him because they don't need him.
It's either about money or he is going to promote FTP when it launches, there is no other way.

They snatched him after FTP allowed his red pros to rob him, the person who was generating more action than everyone else taken together. Now there is no more FTP, all nosebleed games (if they run) run on PS. Mission accomplished. Why renew his contract with the same (supposedly very good for isildur1) terms?
