Yeah, epic shows sometimes have those small downswings. The best example of this would be the beginning of s2 of the wire. It really picks up though if u stay patient which I eventually did

Breaking bad Season 1 = okayish nothing special
Breaking Bad Season 2 = a bit better had its moments but still nothing special
Season 3 = Slow start but pretty good and intersting for the most part -> really good ending
Season 4 = epic season ! really loved it 10/10
Season 5 = still epic
