It really didn't make sense how little they are being compensated for the work they put in and the viewership from the fight. Especially Chael, the guy is paying huge costs just for food/cut prep wouldn't be able to afford all the training costs for a measly $50k pre-tax.

Also, how many fights you think Silva has left in him? his documentary seemed like he was tired of fighting and after $7mill seems like the perfect time to cashout.

Obviously there's undisclosed payments and PPV payments.
The numbers I posted above are the numbers that are told to the commissioner, which don't count the backroom bonus and PPV payments, since the fight hasn't happened yet for there to be any.

The rumor of the $7 million that Anderson is supposedly making has been floating around since April, and that source is from "MMA Opinion", a page on Facebook. Whether it's true or not, FrontRowBrian is a more credible source than that.

Anderson/Chael's fight will most likely get FOTN, unless Anderson finishes early and captures SOTN.

there are i believe 30 guys on UFC roster that get a PPV bonus when they are in the main event. there were 29 and ben henderson and carlos condit became champions this year so that would make 31, but brock no longer on roster so that makes 30.

here are who i think get it:
JDS, cain, overeem, mir, big nog, carwin, jones, hendo, rashad, shogun, rampage, machida, forrest, tito, anderson, chael, bisping, wand, franklin, GSP, diaz, condit, koscheck, hughes, BJ, edgar, bendo, aldo, faber, cruz

I just picked the 30 most likely guys on their roster. Whenever they headline a PPV show they get a cut. that cut varies from fighter to fighter. i.e. i think bendo will get $1 in the edgar rematch. but i suspect jones and GSP make about $4-5 per PPV. so if a card they are on gets 800k buys they get 3.2-4m added on to their salaries.

Anderson i believe was only getting $1-2 per ppv for a long time. but the chael/vitor fights turned him into a MEGA star. he has the most followers on twitter of any UFC fighter and hes no longer the guy they send to headline shows in ohio. he also carries cards alone without the help of other big stars (he often headlined with BJ penn on the card as well).

as of the rashad fight, jon jones was reportedly the highest paid fighter in the UFC. but now anderson is.

I would pay double the price if they featured crocop on every card vs someone who is all boxing. nothing better than crocop getting PULVERIZED

If someone is -x, the x is how much you need to bet to get a $100 profit (x+$100 back)
