Other

- While the expected rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen would be moved to UFC 148 on July 7, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada and the expected co-feature of the Brazilian event, a rematch between Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva would headline the event. On April 24, the changes regarding Silva/Sonnen were confirmed. Plans were then being made for Featherweight champion Jose Aldo, who was scheduled to defend his title at UFC 149, to headline this event. However, it was reported April 28, 2012, that Aldo would remain on the UFC 149 card and defend his title against Erik Koch.
- On May 26, Vitor Belfort was forced to pull out of the card after breaking his left hand while training. Silva will now face Rich Franklin in a 190 lb catchweight bout. Franklin and Silva faced each other previously in June 2009 at UFC 99, where Franklin defeated Silva via unanimous decision in a bout the earned both participants Fight of the Night honors.

This is basically a TUF finale card that the UFC is trying to pass off as a legitimate PPV card.

Franklin > Silva (via head kick.)
Mutante > Moraes (via knee/kick into a TKO)
Pepey > Jason
Russow > Werdum (for the lulz)

Not familiar with the rest of the card. I like Rodrigo Damm, but he's probably lose. His sister is a better MMA fighter than he is.

This is the worst card ever. I'm only watching it for Franklin-Wanderlei and Werdum-Russow.

Just be happy that we get 5 MMA events this week. 2 of them are UFC events, Friday and Saturday.

Also, the Brazilian TUF fighters looked good during their fight to get into the house, but they took it easy after that.
Hopefully they bring the fire once again.

It was just going to be Wandy getting Ko'ed in 3 seconds. As far as irrelevant fights go, this is one of them.

Yes the most likely outcome is wandy getting KOd but if it doesnt, the fight has so much potential

why do you think pepey will beat jason ?
Pepey is totally noob stand up, Jason has a really good JJ, pepey doesn't even know how to take people down

line opened -300 Jason and I'm thinking about making a really big bet here because I can't see Pepey having any chance in this fight

^ I don't have any solid reads on the TUF guys. Everytime I pick any guy to win on any MMA card, its cuz I like him for whatever reaon. The fights I'm sure about are the ones I add notes next to, which usually lists a reason why someone will lose or win.

Rich Franklin -165
Wanderlei Silva +145

Fabricio Werdum -500
Mike Russo +400

----------

I'm not saying Russo is a good fighter or anything, but lets look at some UFC facts of his:

- He has enough cardio for 3 rounds.
- 3 of his last 4 fights went to round 3, while the other 1 fight went to round 2.
- He has some power in his hands, not the most powerful heavyweight, but he has enough for a KO, especially since we already know Heavyweights are just big guys with the same chin as everyone else.
- He has a collegiate wrestling background, as he was an "NCAA Division I Wrestler", no idea how good he was though.
- He trains with team DeathClutch, the same team as Tony Ferguson, Cole Konrad, Eric Prindle, Pat Barry, Jon Madsen, Chris Tuchscherer, Tim Hague, Shane del Rosario, and I guess formerly Brock Lesnar even though he owns the team.
- 15-1 (1 NC), 4 wins by KO/TKO, 8 by submission, 3 by decision, 1 loss by submission.
- Funny Fact: All 4 of the guys Russow has beaten in the UFC were all fired afterward.

I think it might be possible to keep the fight standing, but judging from Werdum's last fight, his stand up seems more technical than Russow's.

Anyway, I'm not saying Russow is better, but I wouldn't count out an upset here. Although, the fight is taking place in Brazil, so Werdum has the judges on his side.

Lol Werdum has better standup , better groundgame and the judges on his side.
Werdum - 500 seems about right

About the guys who got cut after losing to Russow

Prior to his loss to Russow, Jon Madsen was 4-0 in the UFC. He was cut with a record of 4-1 in the UFC.

Duffee was 6-0, and 1-0 in the UFC coming off the fastest KO in UFC history I believe as well as going into the fight highly touted. He destroyed Russow for 2.5 rounds before getting caught. Still cut after the loss.

No ones safe after losing to Russow!

Duffee vs Russow was just straight up comical. Much like Duffee moaning about looking for a part time job while in the UFC.
